No kidding.

I understand that news organizations want to be first and maybe this was information released by police that they were reporting, but man, for stuff like this they've GOT to keep their facts straight.

They even had pictures up on major news websites of the wrong guy. That guy could be killed because of that all because a news organization had to be first facts be damned.

We can only hope that the person (persons) mistaken for the shooter will sue their pants off so that they will think about bringing back journalistic integrity.

Not to make light of this but this seems to always happen in small cities where there is nothing else to do. It's always a depressed loner doing these sick acts.

I live in LA and just don't see this ever happening here. People are either too busy or too lazy to go through all this trouble.

Wow, they said that every single person in the classroom where his mom taught was killed, with probably more than 100 shots fired in there.

And even if they did, a lot of people don't take mental illness very seriously.

I'm usually not a very sympathetic person i've been fairly desensitized to news like this over the years, but this news has literally made me sick to my stomach.

Here is a list of mass shootings since Columbine.

I will let you read through it and decide if it supports your assumption.

Mental health care under valued in this country. Insurance companies dont want to pay for years of depression therapy so they try not to cover mental health very well if at all. Would be nice if everybody had access to quality mental health care. Maybe some of these the real sick ones would be prevented from pulling off these acts.

Great point.

His goal was murder suicide. What are the odds of someone building a bomb, setting it somewhere, and sitting in the building and detonating it?

People like him, don't so that stuff. Those are usually motivated by other things.

The FB page and information below is of the real Ryan Lanza, but the brother who may end up being the only person left in that family alive today assuming that his mother, father and brother are all dead.

Unfathomable stuff all around.

Yeah, better mental health care is not just about the benefit to the person getting it.

Of course, sometimes they're just evil *****.

This is horrible, awful. I honestly have no words for this. Praying for all of them to be held & comforted in such a time. How can someone even think of doing this?
