Any chance he can slip to the second? I like this guy and believe he has all the tools to come in for a year or two behind Romo and learn. If he doesn't slide, I wouldn't mind trading back to get him and take a RB with three change. Maybe a a late first and a second for our pick?

Supposedley not a great locker room guy. No thanks.

BS....pure and absolute BS. You have no source and NO clue because it isn't true. I've seen CC play every game of his 4 year career including 12 games in person and there is NO truth to him "not being a great locker room guy". I've got season tickets to MSU and have NEVER heard one rumor of him being a problem in the locker room. Even if it were true, that has never stopped Jerrah and Co. before. What a clown post RS12...congrats.

Heard it and read it multiple times from multiple sources. They all said the same thing. The fact that he isnt a team captain was an indictment of him not being a good locker room guy. Sorry your panties are in a bunch about it. It is what it is and you are entitled to your opinions, just like I am.

Looks the part and appears to throw with very good velocity. Main issue with him is he will miss receivers downfield for no reason. Just badly overshoots guys who are wide open and he's not under duress. Just seems to not have a great feel for spatial relations downfield. Even inside 20 yards, receivers will frequently need to contort themselves to make the catch.

He's a career sub 60% completion passer. Not good, especially in these days where 30% of a QB's completions are bubble screens. Situation hasn't improved with more experience either.

I may be in the minority on him but I don't see anything special in Cook.

I don't think you're in the minority. A lot of people have been saying that this season. I don't think he has any shot at a first round grade outside of having an amazing workout and/or combine.

Again....BS. I have season tix and it's not an indictment of anything. 'Panties in a bunch'? What are you 12? Look door jam, I know the kid and the program inside out, where as you don't know your *** from a hole in the ground. BIg difference. Now kindly piss OFF. (and happy holidays)

Why dont you rattle off every pro prospect RS senior QB who isnt a team captain and tell us why. Dont worry we'll wait for you with baited breath Mrs Cook.

Are MSU fans the new Boise fans?

Apparently. I don't know what the issue is when as @RS12 said multiple reports over the last 2 years have stated basically that. I've not seen he's a bad locker room guy exactly, but read over and over that his teammates just flat out don't like him and he's arrogant. Shouldn't be mad at the messenger, be mad at the teammates and media who've put it out there.

I was at the Cotton Bowl last year, and being aware that there was some first round buzz surrounding him, I was curious.

MSU won, but I came away very underwhelmed by Cook.

dont see anything special either.he is similar to Cousins but not sure he has the accuracy to succeed in the NFL.

Strengths
Accuracy
In a league where passing the football is a premium, accuracy from the quarterback position is critical to a team’s success. With that being said, Connor Cook is scary accurate as a draft prospect. He can make the throws with absolute precision at all levels on the field. Standing in the pocket, he is as accurate a quarterback can be at the collegiate level.

Cook may not exhibit star qualities, elite arm strength or flashy running ability, but his success off play-action, from the pocket and with impressive ball placement will continue to win decision makers over in the draft process, and his performance against Oregon will continue to be a staple for his first round-worthy argument.

I wonder if people actually read scouting reports on players before they comment on them, or if they base their comments on their agendas?

Yea being their "best player" and not being named a Team Captain either of the last 2 years is definitely interesting.

Would rather have Goff, Lynch, or Wentz.

i dont see it.he misses easy throws too many times and his completion percentage reflects that.

Watching Hackenburg,he is very underwhelming here too.he just keeps getting sacked when he could just throw the ball away and live for another down.

Cook looks like he might be just good enough to be a mediocre NFL starter, probably a back up though. No better than Cousins or Hoyer
