Does anyone think that when Romo gets the MRI today, it is announced that " He is progressing, but the bone is still not healed to where ..blah, blah, blah." when in reality he is healthy enough to play in a couple weeks, but don't want even more public controversy---yet.

BTW - I'm all for leaving Dak in until/unless there is a slump and you need a change of momentum. Don't mess with the mojo.

What? I thought you were all about telling us how great Wentz is and how you wish he was leading our team?

Jerry said he will play when fully healthy. So he basically left an out just in case. Only he knows what "fully" means.

That's the luxury. There is absolutely no need to rush anything. Get him out there fully healthy and fully conditioned.

They will stretch it out. There will be no rushing Romo back this time. They will look for a chance to insert him in a game when Dak finally struggles a little or gets a little dinged up. I suspect there will be a few weeks where Romo is the active backup but described as not 100% ready to start yet. That's when they will begin to look for a reason to get him in. Hopefully, Dak never gives them one.

Nope. Everyone expects a positive MRI results and the Cowboys have said all along he won't be ready until Philly. They haven't misrepresented any Romo news about his return yet and won't starting today.

It's very close to the end for Romo. As far as conspiracy goes well anything is possible with Jerry.

Having Romo come back healthy is what we call 'one of those good problems'

Dak doesn't have to start every game to be a weapon but the rookie wall is real and asking Dak to go 20 games is asking a lot

Why would it be asking a lot for Dak to play 20 games? Asking Romo to play at a decent level is asking a lot.

Even if he gets good results from the MRI, he still can't practice and take a hit for a couple more weeks. Also,
factor in that by the time he is cleared to play, he has not practiced for roughly 9 weeks. As long as Dak is playing well and the Cowboys are winning, why not let Romo heal properly and get in enough practice so that he isn't rusty?

I think Jerry Jones hinted that we might see both. So, we might see both Romo and Dak playing in the same game.

So asking Romo to do what he has done every year as a starter is asking alot but asking Dak to do something he has never done isn't?

I love both these guys how about we let the Cowboys decide who plays and we support them no matter what

I thought I would open this thread and see something about how the NFL tv ratings have been down big time this year so, as everyone knows, NFL ratings go WAY up when the Cowboys are winning. It's a statistical fact. Therefore the NFL is helping ensure we win. Or something along those lines.
ps, I'm not saying I buy this theory, just that it was the one I expected to see.
