Having Romo come back healthy is what we call 'one of those good problems'

Dak doesn't have to start every game to be a weapon but the rookie wall is real and asking Dak to go 20 games is asking a lot

Dak isn't really even getting touched in the pocket. I sure don't see any "wall" that would limit him or suggest he will decline in effectiveness. He should generally improve with experience. The bigger "wall" here is Romo's age and health, IMO.

But Romo is getting 2 months 'off'.......he can handle 8 games and the Playoffs, especially with this OL

Does anyone think that when Romo gets the MRI today, it is announced that " He is progressing, but the bone is still not healed to where ..blah, blah, blah." when in reality he is healthy enough to play in a couple weeks, but don't want even more public controversy---yet.

BTW - I'm all for leaving Dak in until/unless there is a slump and you need a change of momentum. Don't mess with the mojo.
They said during game that there was no target date for Romo to return.
Alot depends on what happens in GB and then Phil, as to if and when Romo returns.
So far they said Romo is not practicing.

As long as you're not on the payroll you can call him anything you want. He's not the only multi-billionaire that some think is an idiot but we can't discuss that here. :)

Really...you really think that. Jerry is making millions each year by selling a football game to the networks, advertisers & fanatics. He's
laughing all the way to the bank because he has a great business model. It's just like owning a golden goose cause it just keeps making
him rich. He wants the team to win naturally but, he's all about the business of making money and that is and has always been
his overriding priority. Jerry is no idiot. He has lots of smart football types giving him information. He wouldn't have invested in the "Star"
unless he planned to expand his empire by making loads of more money. Just like the players, it's all about the quan. Jags on this board
will never understand it's not all about football but, making money.

Anyone can be called an idiot, doesn't mean they are. Everyone has an opinion and the fan that called Jerry an idiot has his opinion. Didn't say I agree with it. Jerry does things many of us don't agree with but that doesn't make him an idiot. Now, if he replaces Dak with Romo while Dak is playing as great as he is and we're continuing to win games then many will think he's idiot. :)

I think they will wait until after the Packers game, but I still firmly believe Dak will need a huge game before considering Romo to stay on the bench. He is simply just managing games, yesterday while he played well and I saw a couple real NFL throws, he's just not there yet.

Son you got some moxie calling a multi-billionaire an idiot. If I were you, I would keep
eyes and ears open & mouth shut till I grew up a bit.
I'm 63 years old. Have met Jerry several times at training camps and on the road at team hotels. I was with the first group that begun traveling with the team when Jerry bought the Cowboys in 1989 establishing the first Travel Club in the NFL. I'd consider myself well versed in discussing our 3rd owner and 2nd GM.

Let's begin by rephrasing the comment. Jerry has been a football idiot most of his career. Brilliant owner but a GM I don't think anyone would hire. Jerry even admitted he'd fire himself.

Without his early success with Jimmy probably wouldn't have survived as the Cowboys were facing bancruptcy when he bought them.

I'd welcome discussing Jerry's accomplishments as an owner and failures as GM in more detail if you'd like .

I agree with much of what you said. He has done a lot of good things for the Cowboys since the former car salesman sold the team. He has
certainly made lots of mistakes but, he has had his share of winners too. Jerry loves to take big risks in the hope of getting big rewards and he
has to live with the consequences. I certainly don't think he's an idiot.

We all can be idiots when we venture into areas which are not of our expertise . I'm a complete idiot when it comes to repairing anything but a balance sheet.

That's not necessarily true. You can make sound investments and calculated ventures which limits your risk.

You need to take bigger risk when your trying to hit quickly or attempting to overcome poor decisions .

Romo has basically been off for 18 months, he hasn't played much football since the GB game in Jan 2015. Do you really think he will come in and take this offense up a notch immediately?

Just because I like to cook I shouldn't necessarily attempt to open a restaraunt.

Jerry was a 190 1b lineman on a national championship team in an all white SWC. Not sure that qualifies him to be a NFL GM. A NFL owner , sure if you have the money.

His buddies at Ark became coaches . Jerry has had the passion since he tried to buy the Chargers. He just wanted to be in a position where he had total control and couldn't be fired.

I'd say he found it. Lol

Making sound investments is a lot easier said than done. I'm referring to multi-billionaires, if they're self made they took some big risks. There's all kinds of ways to make a lot of money but if you look at some of the richest people that are self made, they took some big risks to accumulate that kind of wealth.

Taking risks to try and overcome poor decisions can land you in the poor house. A lot of people end up broke by compounding one mistake with another after another. Jerry accumulated the wealth he has now by taking some big risks. The Cowboys were losing a million dollars a day when he bought the team.

You really believe the Cowboys were a big risk? There has never been a franchise that decreased in net worth.

And most of the wealthy inherit or marry into their millions and billions.
