It's not like Jerry hasn't told us a hundred times one of his biggest regrets was firing Chan Gailey when he did (too soon). And this was a couple of years ago. So excuse me for not buying into Garrett staying as some sort of inside revelation.

It isn't.

I actually expect a Garrett extension. Not because of what he has done, which is underwhelming, but because Jerry doesn't have to walk on eggshells, can run roughshod over the guy and is generally having fun. Winning? Eh, look at those TV ratings.

I hope not. If we miss the playoffs for the 4th year in a row and we have a healthy Romo, Garrett's as good as gone. If Romo gets hurt, then Weeden's our fall guy and Garrett may have another year after Jerry sells the Romo injury to the masses. I know what you're thinking Junk.....I'm going out on a limb here. I know it's crazy but I won't waver and I feel confident in what I'm sharing.

Sadly, this year would be five years in a row, btw.

For the record, I agree with you...and Archer. There could very well be some saltiness among some of the players, but as Archer says, oh well.

Exactly. Any teammate that actually has an issue with this, who cares?

My bad and thanks for the correction. I'm thinking the 4th full year of Garrett at the helm and forgot the year when he took over for Wade.

Are the Patriots going to implode because Brady and Belichick played Pebble Beach together while their kicker sat at home? I didn't think so either.

What's your point? The Op I responded to made the following statement: "For the last two offseasons Hostile has confidently said that Garrett wouldn't be fired and he has been correct. I wouldn't go against him on jg's coaching status."

I replied that you didn't go out on a limb claiming he wouldn't get fired after his second full year year (2012). Get a hold of yourself man.......that's not some inside revelation.
Do they revoke your man card at DCU if you agree with me or something?

He's talking about 2 off seasons. You want to focus only on one. The one least likely to have happened. Revelation ace, it didn't happen after 2013 either. That is the point. It is obvious to everyone except you and the Like crowd I suppose.

Wasn't it just a couple of months ago where everyone said the head coach was on the outs with the owner while he was "throwing the QB under the bus?"

People fall for this crap so easily.

Spears, Ratliff, and Bowen all seemed to have a bone to pick with the organization. TO was not the only divisive force in that era's locker room.

Spears is from rural poor Louisiana so the inferiority complex thing is not a big surprise. Mind you that is not a racist comment. It's an economic one. The socioeconomic dynamics in the deep south are an interesting thing.

Or he could just be speaking his mind.

I know you guys like to destroy the character of former players/coaches to protect your chosen ones (Jerry/Jason/Witten/Romo), but the fact is Spears has always been a stand up guy and always had an ear to the locker room. The guy was never distance from his teammates like Romo. Most likely, he is bringing something that he's heard from other players.

people like you repeatedly think that some of us have chosen ones or are romo lovers...get over yourself and your repeated negativity...it's tiring, really....perhaps you should look at this differently and that spears, if he has such an ear, could have said something say, oh, when he was a player and was actually in the locker room? no, he waits until he finally gets a media job to all of a sudden pounce on a harmless picture...why is he the only person to do that? an agenda perhaps? much like some negative posters in here have their agendas
