Is anyone arguing Dak is worth the $60 million contract Jerry gave him? Anyone? Unless Jerry and Stephen join this forum I don't think anyone will defend Dak's contract.

But again, comparing Rush to Dak THIS YEAR to claim there is no difference is an unfair comparison. Dak was clearly having a bad year. But he has played much better in the past, including just last year.

Too much is made of the QB in looking at wins and losses. Could Rush have beaten New Orleans the way the defense played? or the Lions?

Dak has never earned the money he is getting paid and he never will. I don't think he earned the $40 million contract Jerry gave him 3 years ago. You will have to talk to Jerry about his mistakes. I don't think anyone here would have done what Jerry did with Dak.

I think this thread is less about claiming that Rush is a legit starting QB and more about is Dak a legit starting QB? It really is debatable given what we have witnessed over this season and going back even to previous seasons and how he has fallen apart in the playoffs.

You claim to be a Dallas fan but you were one pushing and loving Dak getting the contract he didn’t deserve that will have impacts on our team for the next 3-5 years.

First of all, I'm here on RECORD saying I didn't think Dak wasn't worth 60 million. I also said at the time, we didn't have any choice but to pay him because we had no other starting quality quarterbacks on the roster at the time.

With that said, if we're going to post here, let's post truthful things. To say that i pushed for and loved Dak getting that contract was an absolute lie. You don't have to tell lies to be heard around here.

You Dak haters are something else. This team hasn't been good all year. During our terrible 5 game losing streak starting with the Lions and ending with the Texans, both QBs played the exact amount of time. Our run defense was beyond terrible, we couldn't run the ball at all, and our OL was one of the worst in the league.

Since then our D got healthier and they've even admitted themselves that they figured something out and are way more comfortable with and actually trust the scheme.

The OL finally sat down 2 players who were giving nothing and they've finally fully committed to Rico as the RB1.

But yeah "all that was Dak's fault and if Rush was in there the whole time, we'd be in the playoffs".

I’ve made mistakes before, thank you for bringing it to my attention , I never usually post during football games. For this reason you lose track of what’s really happening out there. You said he has played a weaker schedule. Therefore, the opponents overall win\loss record is the best piece of information to test that statement. That information clearly does not support your assertion.

If you want to argue who played better, I agree that level of competition is only one part of the equation. But you should recognize that it does support Rush rather than call it foolish.

Also, win\loss is not a stat.

Biggest take away for me is rush has only been sacked 12 times the entire season while Dak is still sitting at 21 times sacked. How you interpret that goes along way into how you view both performances this season.

Dak would rather take sacks than throw the ball away. Figure it out.

Agree to disagree. It's not perfect but it's the best we have. It's a team sport. There is never going to be a direct comparison metric between two players. I mean college football used strength of schedule for years (& should have kept using some form of it) in ranking the teams.
