Cooper Rush is 4-3 with the same team Dak was 3-5 with

Dak definitely wasn't the same quarterback this October. This proves what though? Our whole team wasn't the same team it was last October.

I can name a couple of quarterbacks who are better than Dak and they are playing worst this season than they played last season. So what should I take from that?

Other than Mahomes, I don't believe ANY quarterback can do anything of significance when the talent around them declines. Football is a team game.

Do I believe Dak is on the other side of the hill, trending downward? Possibly.

Of course Dak wasn't top 10 this year. Now give me the NFLs list of the top 10 starting quarterbacks in the league over the last 8 or 9 years BASED ON PRODUCTION on the field. Go ahead, I dare you to post those standings.

My good buddy Leeblair said that Rush is better than two, thirds of quarterbacks in the league and he has the potential become an All-Pro and a MVP candidate.....

Dak plays for the Dallas Cowboys.... im sorry but we have the only fanbase with dummies who call themselves a fan of a team but cheer against certain players on the team.

I cheer for the success of each and every player on the Dallas Cowboys football team. When Dak was in there, I'm cheering him on. When he got hurt and Rush was up text, I'm loudly cheering for him as well.

So I guess on now that I'm pulling for the next man up to do well (which is documented in this forum during game day and other threads).... i guess all of a sudden I'm a Rush "stan"?

If Rush gets hurt and Lance comes in.... i would fully support him too. So would that make me a Lance "stan"?

The brutal truth is that Cooper Rush is 4-3 with the same 2024 team that Dak was 3-5 with. How in the world can you possibly feel ‘validated’? Rush and Prescott not only played with very different teams, but their wins/losses were very different as well. Rush had an RB that managed to string 3(!) 100+ yard games together, which totally changes the QB position. Dowdle couldn’t run past his shadow when Dak was playing QB, not to mention the WR/TE personnel were different.

Rush is and always will be a backup QB. You don’t know more than the coaches that watch the players EVERY DAY in practice. If they thought that Rush was even close to comparable to Dak, Dak wouldn’t have gotten the bag.

Stick to whatever job it is you do, because QB talent evaluator ain’t it.

Football is incredibly multifaceted, even sacks arent just because the defense is good, it can be because the qb held the ball too long.

No it’s not. It’s one of the many stats you can us to form the argument. And it’s weak. The defense was historically bad the first half of the season. Rush is playing with a good defense right now. Just too many variables have changed to say “oh he beat this team so he’s better”. It’s as weak of an argument as it gets.

You said he has played a weaker schedule. Therefore, the opponents overall win\loss record is the best piece of information to test that statement. That information clearly does not support your assertion.

If you want to argue who played better, I agree that level of competition is only one part of the equation. But you should recognize that it does support Rush rather than call it foolish.

Also, win\loss is not a stat.
