Cooper Rush still leads the Cowboys in passing yards

I'm curious about why the defense sucking is causing us to pass more. It's not like we're falling far behind, and when we did against GB it was because of our passing game giving the ball up.

We’re giving up more points/TDs that’s why we’re passing more. We’re also passing more to try to generate more points. You score points in the passing game. We also haven’t been able to pound defenses with Zeke being out. We might not be throwing as much if he hadn’t missed the past two games.

Granted, it's 5 games for Rush, compared to four for Dak, but it's still a stat that stands out.
After a 4-1 start, Cooper Rush has 1020 yards, with 5 tds and 3 interceptions.
Dak has a 2-2 record in 4 games, 856 yds, with 6 touchdowns and 4 interceptions.
I was actually surprised to see that Rush is still leading in stats, especially since he played against the Giants, Eagles, Bengals, and Commanders, and Rams.
Dak has faced the Packers, Bears, Lions, and Buccaneers.
Make of it what you want. But Rush has 154 yds more than Dak, so the extra game isn't really an issue.

You lost all credibility here. Both guys are averaging over 200 yards per game.. sooooo.. 154 more yards after playing one more game means less yards on a per game basis. Is this really that hard?

Pass attempts

Rush (5 games) 143 (28 attempts/game average)

Dak (4 games) 127 (32 attempts/game average)

So 4 attempts/game average difference; that belief has been dispelled.

Defensive points given up by Dallas average:

Rush at QB (5 games): 16 points game

Dak at QB (4 games): 21 points game

So 5 points/game average difference.

Turnovers by Dallas defense per QB:

Rush (5 games): 6

Dak (4 games): 9

So Dallas has given Dak more chances in less games.

So keep telling me how the Dallas defense, and not Dak, is the issue.

You can put up all the stats you want but anyone who’s been following the Cowboys knows their defense cost them the game on Sunday. Since Dak has taken over we’re scoring a lot more points, but the defense has been giving up a lot more points. Everyone who talks football has been talking about how bad our run defense has been. You’re obviously in denial over it and just want to argue and blame everything on Dak.

So Dak's 2 INT's leading to 14 GB points didn't cost the team? Oh, and when the Dallas defense won the game vs. Detroit why were many saying Dak won?

Answer to everyone’s question or excuses on defense being a problem. I agree run defense has regressed, but this also has to do with timing of turnovers and offense leaving them on field without making first downs. Our offense and timing of turnovers have not done any favors for our defense. Dak fans..it’s ceedee fault, it’s Schultz fault, it’s the defenses fault, it’s Amari’s fault. Fact is, he’s forth rd pick that had some beginners luck and requires elite talent to overcome his deficiencies. That 160 mil isn’t our money, but it does prevent the team from bringing in or signing other players to overcome said deficiencies. The money is on the offensive side of the ball and therefore blaming a defense that’s not paid to be elite is an obvious excuse that Daks contract helped to create.

I said we’re averaging around 33 points per game with Dak the last three games he’s played. I’m not factoring in the opener against Tampa. We haven’t been able to control the ball as well without Zeke. Our D was clearly playing better when Rush was at QB. We were bending, but not breaking, but now we’re starting to break. We’re giving up plays we weren’t giving up earlier in the season.
Gotcha, I was going by the full season

I don't know about you but I saw plenty of people acknowledging that Dak played like crap for the first half of that game. He settled down in the second half but he was way off to start with and was lucky that the Lions DBs can't catch. He was clearly the beneficiary of the defense and the running game that day. I don't see how any sane person could say different.

I didn’t say they didn’t cost the team, they clearly did, but they didn’t cost them the game. We threw away at least three points on one of those INTs but we overcame both turnovers to take a 14 point lead in the 4th quarter. The game was now in the hands of our defense and it didn’t step up. We’ve been hanging our hats on our defense all season and it let us down.

Dak also has way more playoff loses. It's crazy.

Dude dak throws a pick and some of automatically blame the qb. Watch the dang film and see that the wrs ran the wrong route its based on anticipating where the wrs will be. Too much panicking from the fan base after a loss. Then when they win, it's super bowl.

You're okay with our organization publicly throwing players under the bus as long as it's not Dak? I would think, as Cowboys fans, we would be against this, right? It seems like some are perfectly fine with this behavior from the organization.

I didn't see you addresses that part of my post and that was the main part of it.

No I'm not okay with anyone throwing their teammates under the bus. At all! Do you see me waving my pom-poms at those posts in celebration? It's a sign the team could be imploding.

Since I was nice enough to answer yours, now please answer mine. Do you know more about route running and play design than MM, Michael Irvin and Greg Olsen?

I never claimed I did.

I only said I wanted to hear Lambs side of things.

Why should Lamb sit silent while getting thrown under the bus? You say you don't agree with him getting thrown under the bus, right? Then what's wrong with me wanting to hear his side of it?

he's played more also...so not surprising.
stop hating your team,charlie brown.

Could it be the reason he's stayed silent is because he knows he ran 3 bad routes, two ended up being INT's and the other was on the 4th down that sealed the deal for us? Schultz threw his teammates under the bus so I'm thinking those route errors were not on him.

Again, I don't like this at all. AT ALL! From Dak, MM, Schultz, JJ, anyone. Do that in private. With mics all over the field it's impossible to do that on the sideline without being picked up. I'm okay with getting together on the sideline or in the huddle, but not in the media.

We cut Cooper, Collins and didn’t re-sign Ced almost entirely due to Dak’s contract.
Cooper was gone no matter what. And we didn't cut him, we traded him. La'el Collins was a waste and we dumped him and are now getting better play at the RT position. Cedric Wilson would have been overpaid to stay here. These moves were going to be done and had nothing to do with Dak's contract.

If our Qb was being paid what he’s TRULY worth, we might be seeing a player like Von Miller helping this defense. Instead that potential money to sign a player like Miller is going to Rayne and he’s expected to deliver Elite play for Elite cap space burden…..it’s as simple as that.
And then we'd be complaining about how overpaid Von was.

I don’t know why everybody so hung up on Prescott salary. It means absolutely nothing and it didn’t stop us from doing anything. Everybody says Prescott sucked against the Packers. And Rogers was so great. How is great playing against somebody that supposed to suck. I’ll tell you what sucked , was the run defense

You don't think it factored into what we did in free agency? How we lowballed Von Miller? How we ditched Amari?

And when the defense gave up the touchdown that brought them within a TD, what did the offense do? Nothing. Or after they tied it? Nothing. Nobody is excusing the defense, but the offense failed when it mattered just as much as the defense.
