Dak has been throwing the ball a lot more than Rush, who was a game manager. Our defense was playing a lot better when Rush was the QB than it has the last couple of games under Dak. The last couple of games our defense is starting to look like it did during the 2020 season. Our rush defense is currently just about as bad as it was two years ago. Sunday was only the third time in 35 years that the Cowboys have given up back to back 200 yard rushing games. We’ve given up around 450 rushing yards the last two games.
Pass attempts
Rush (5 games) 143 (28 attempts/game average)
Dak (4 games) 127 (32 attempts/game average)
So 4 attempts/game average difference; that belief has been dispelled.
Defensive points given up by Dallas average:
Rush at QB (5 games): 16 points game
Dak at QB (4 games): 21 points game
So 5 points/game average difference.
Turnovers by Dallas defense per QB:
Rush (5 games): 6
Dak (4 games): 9
So Dallas has given Dak more chances in less games.
So keep telling me how the Dallas defense, and not Dak, is the issue.
