Cooper Rush still leads the Cowboys in passing yards

And when the defense gave up the touchdown that brought them within a TD, what did the offense do? Nothing. Or after they tied it? Nothing. Nobody is excusing the defense, but the offense failed when it mattered just as much as the defense.

The offense had its share of issues but it’s had issues all season. However, we did score 28 points and the defense couldn’t hold the lead. We had been winning with defense all season until Sunday.

And then we'd be complaining about how overpaid Von was.

Only if he undelivered. We never say a word about Zack Martin's contract because he's playing up to his cap burden

FWIW, in the past I've said that Daks first 3 years he overplayed his small cap burden but when he was given this contract, he's now under playing his cap burden

Forget about Rush already; he isn't going to save the season.

Yes we have, and this time we needed the offense to carry the load. Didn't happen. Offense didn't show up for half the game defense did the same.

The offense put up 28 points. Bottom line is we had a 14 point lead in the fourth quarter and the defense didn’t step up. We’ve been winning with defense all season. Parsons was a no-show.

Granted, it's 5 games for Rush, compared to four for Dak, but it's still a stat that stands out.
After a 4-1 start, Cooper Rush has 1020 yards, with 5 tds and 3 interceptions.
Dak has a 2-2 record in 4 games, 856 yds, with 6 touchdowns and 4 interceptions.
I was actually surprised to see that Rush is still leading in stats, especially since he played against the Giants, Eagles, Bengals, and Commanders, and Rams.
Dak has faced the Packers, Bears, Lions, and Buccaneers.
Make of it what you want. But Rush has 154 yds more than Dak, so the extra game isn't really an issue.
this is hilarious...

so you start by saying cooper rush has more passing yards and then immediately follow up with he has played more games..

you are some kind of stupid.

The bottom line is the offense and defense both sucked, yet you just want to focus on the defense. Dak was a no show in the 4th when the big boy qbs go get Ws. Offense could have sealed it with just a fg. 2-6 for 9 yards. Dak was a no show when the heat came back on. Also, let's not forget that 14 of those points were gifts from our offense. That the defense gave them a fumble recovery that the offense gave back as an int. That the offense had at least four 3 and outs and despite having a 17 play 8 min drive, still managed to lose TOP by 5 minutes. The offense had a huge hand in this loss, regardless if how badly some people want to dumb it down to just being a defensive failure.

why can't the team carry dak like they were accused of doing for Rush? Is dak a bigger load of problems to carry? asking for the Cowboys Nation
defense gave up 17, 16, 10,10 when rush played his first 4 games.

the first game they gave up more than 20 points we lost handily.

what would the results of the GB game be if we had given up 17 points?

And Rush is worth every dollah of his $44 mil a year.

wait, you said Dak was a no show in 4th. and defense was a no show in the 4th. or was it the offense that was a no show? in case you didn't notice. GB had 74 yards rushing in the 4th. and one TD bomb on 4th down on a blown coverage. so was it Rodgers the big boy? or was it the rushing game that was the big boy?

It still doesn’t change the fact the game was lost due to inability of defense to stop the run.

Rush sucks. no other way to put it. if you think the 4 games we won was because of Rush, then IM me your address and I will buy you a football for dummies book from amazon to get you started.

and wait. I thought it was 40? when did the 44M come in? did they give Dak a 10% raise?

its Dak's fault for not scoring 35. end of story

They were both no shows. Why is this so tough to understand? Dak flat out sucked in prime time. So did the defense.

It’s a privilege to pass rush, stopping the run is part of the job.

You must not have watched the game very closely because our offense was more than adequate. We had over a 420 yards of total offense with 159 rushing yards, 24 first downs and we put up 28 points, all touchdowns. The two INT’s were costly, but our defense completely broke down,
especially with the game on the line.
