When your offense has to run hurry up so your QB can be effective and your first 2 drives take less than 2 minutes total, you've put your defense in a bind. They basically let GB establish their running game and start pounding the defense without any pressure to put up points for most of the first quarter.

The run defense has sucked all year, too. If they're going to start every game with hurry up offense they better start scoring or we're going to continue to see the defense get pounded into collapse in the 4th quarter.

Granted, it's 5 games for Rush, compared to four for Dak, but it's still a stat that stands out.
After a 4-1 start, Cooper Rush has 1020 yards, with 5 tds and 3 interceptions.
Dak has a 2-2 record in 4 games, 856 yds, with 6 touchdowns and 4 interceptions.
I was actually surprised to see that Rush is still leading in stats, especially since he played against the Giants, Eagles, Bengals, and Commanders, and Rams.
Dak has faced the Packers, Bears, Lions, and Buccaneers.
Make of it what you want. But Rush has 154 yds more than Dak, so the extra game isn't really an issue.

Pretty good stats. How do their overall career stats match up? They both came in the league around the same time, so I'm wondering why Rush bounced around and got released so many times from practice squads while Dak was starting for years.

...perhaps because Dak was a 4th round draft pick and Rush went undrafted....but the fact remains Rush went 4-1 this season while Dak has gone 2-2....and the way the team played with Rush was different than with Dak and it showed.

How was our offense in the 1st and 4th quarters? How was our offense when we needed them to sustain a drive of any kind in the 4th, hell if nothing else just to give the Defense a breather? I don't get why it's so hard for you guys to just accept that the whole team was terrible. I get you want to protect 4 at all cost but it's a 4 qtr game and he went to sleep for 2 of them.
regardless, we scored 28 points. and the defense? when we needed one stop in the 4th quarter. we got none.

Rush sucks. no other way to put it. if you think the 4 games we won was because of Rush, then IM me your address and I will buy you a football for dummies book from amazon to get you started.

and wait. I thought it was 40? when did the 44M come in? did they give Dak a 10% raise?

Nuance and dry humor are wasted on the dim.

And you're correct!! Rush reeled off a 4-1 record for his first start. I believe Dak double that output with his first start. Something like 8-1, 9-1, right??? Dak also passed for more than 4 tds in 4 games too.

The team did play different with Rush than they did with Dak, because KM isn't calling the same game plan for both. Rush played well, but there's a reason he was bouncing around practice squads and he was undrafted.

Yes Dak was drafted in the 4th round, but turned out to be better the other quarterbacks in that same draft who were drafted in the 1st, 2n, 3rd, 4th, etc rounds. Which quarterback was Rush better than in his class of quarterbacks drafted??

How many games did Rush win without Zeke playing??

A quick search before you post would show that in Dak's rookie season, his first 4 games that you referenced, Dak threw for 3 TD's.....as for what QB was Rush better than, well.....he has performed better than Dak this season.

Shouldn't Rush be better at NFL quarterbacking at the age of 28, 29 with years of practice experience with NFL talent and coaches than Dak who was in his early 20's coming fresh out of college with zero NFL experience??? Yeah, exactly.

If they both got released today and NFL teams had one roster spot for a starting quarterback.... who would you bet your house and life savings on that would get snatched by a team first, Rush or Dak???

Yeah.... exactly.

Well, shouldn't Dak in his 7th season have won more than 1 playoff game, especially given Kurt Warner won a SB his rookie season?

Drew Brees and a couple of other good quarterbacks didn't win more than one playoff game in 7 seasons.

Matt Stafford didn't win ANY playoff games until after around 10 or 11 seasons....

Did you say the same thing about those quarterbacks???

It's not just interceptions it's The constant off target throws which leaves his receivers reaching behind to try and make a catch totally exposed Instead of hitting them in stride
You'd think for 40 million dollars would get a little more. Keep in mind he had all day in the pocket vs the packers that won't be the case this week.
