Cooper Rush wasn't bad

Rush was awful. He tossed 3 picks. Had it been Dak, you would have been all over him!
All of this talk about arm strength is immaterial. It's not even an issue.
Drew Brees could barely throw 45-50 yards, and was never throwing bullets.
The most important features of a NFL quarterback are his head and his accuracy-in that order.
All of these yahoos who keep talking about arm strength don't have a clue about what makes an NFL quarterback.
o_O
Brees led the league in passing yards and touchdowns on deep throws, going 32 for 58 with 14 touchdowns & three interceptions in 2006 alone. Brees had a tremendous 20 year career in the NFL. The last years in Brees' career his age was showing when indeed he couldn't pass long balls any longer. It comes with age!

can't throw 3 picks against a good team on the road.
qb...regardless of his name...has to protect the ball better than that.

I first thought Cooper Rush had a bad game, but upon closer examination, he held up pretty well. He was accurate and effective vs the Eagles.
His receivers, not so much. Two of Rush’s interceptions were accurately thrown passes in which the receivers had position, but allowed the defenders to swat them out of the way to make a play on the ball. This can't happen in the NFL.
The Cowboys sold the farm to pay an overpriced, inept quarterback a huge salary, and the result is having receivers who are not number 1 caliber.
I hate to say it, but Cee Dee Lamb isn't great. Noah Brown is as close to being a number one as the Cowboys have. CeeDee just doesn't have the physique to hold up in physical games. The Eagles got physical with the Cowboys receivers and won the battles one on one too often.
Add to this missed calls by the refs, and Rush held up better than first thought.
Rush’s third interception was due to him being hit. It would probably have been a touchdown, otherwise.
Hate on him if you like, but this season still has a ways to go. Dak isn't as accurate as Rush, and if last night is any clue, the receivers aren't going to be much help.
I like Rush. I think he is a very capable backup. He was horrible last night. As stated by someone else he had a 1.0 QB Rating at the half. Call it an off night or whatever you want, but don't say he was not bad.

Bro what is wrong with you? SERIOUSLY! I stated in another thread earlier in the week that he has no velocity on his sideline throws, this allowing teams to not have to play the receivers tightly as CB’s can recover. And also because of his weak outs, his strength is the middle of the field and teams will tighten up in the middle, it’s all on film. His play last night was exactly that and the Eagirls defense played Rush exactly as I predicted, and I have absolutely no football coaching experience!

Also what happened to blaming Dak but not the Wr’s? And please note I am not a Dak apologist as I have concerns with his game also. I’m a Cowboys fan.
he is a football novice, with an agenda. give him a break.

Cooper Rush is not the alleged franchise, top 5 QB that people have been yapping about Dak. His worshippers even had him above Josh Allen last year and many of them think Herbert and Dak are on the same level.

Can’t take their takes seriously as they are now taking joy in trying to justify Dak against Cooper Rush.
top 5 QB? says who. 99.99995% of folks on here have said he is not elite, he is not top 5, and argue over the 8-12 range as a QB.

but you have said in the past he doesn't belong in the league nor being a starter..

so I am not sure which is worse...

you so proudly proclaimed that when he got hurt two years ago, that watch Dalton take the offense and the team to another level. so forgive me if I don't buy into your QB analysis...

Dak's had 6 years to prove he belongs; he hasn't.
Rush has had 5 games.
We KNOW Dak isn't the answer. Going back to him is a mistake. Rush has played better.
Even if you figure he had a bad game, he has brought more leadership and skill to the Cowboys in five games than Dak has in six years.
So even if Rush isn't the answer, we already KNOW Dak isn't.

I think they just want him to look good in a uniform.
are you serious...how deep in your rear end did you reach to pull this one out.... Drew Brees, a sure HOFer, and one of the most ACCURATE QBs in history, who could thread a needle, and now you are trashing him to defend your Rush love affair.

and Kellen Moore's head didn't make him into an NFL QB. he was an utter failure given his lack of arm strength....

and Newton made it to the superbowl, and he wasn't the smartest cookie in the jar. so did Grossman, so did Dilfer, so did ......

again, I think you just like to be punished. perhaps you come from an abusive home, sounds like your father just mentally abused you...

Dallas didn't run well in the first half outside of CeeDee's carry on the first play, and the one 15 yarder by Pollard. Half of the carriers were 0-1 yard gains.
its easy, the defense didn't respect rush, so they stacked the line, dared him to throw more than 10 yards and he didn't.....

we are still debating Dak after 6 years.

the discussion for Rush ended. its over. he is not an NFL calibur QB. in fact, now that he has been figured out, he is a liability....it didn't take that long.

I mean this thread is ridiculous even for your standards lee...thats saying something.

this guy @leeblair jut makes up stuff as he goes. he has zero clue and he doesn't care. he is a well know troll and he started at the Ranch, got kicked out multiple times. give him a longer leash and he will get banned on here as well.

He wasn't good. He was lucky only to get intercepted 3 times. He had some success in the hurry up that Philly was slow to adjust to, but overall it was rough. It happens to every quarterback.

What was Dak’s rating at half against Denver last year with his whopping 5 completions for 75 yards, while being down like 30-0 well into the 4th?
Did anyone try to claim Dak played well vs Denver, like the OP is doing with Rush???

Anti-Dakkers are so remedial.

I'm a big Rush supporter and wasn't happy with the way he was floating his passes to the receivers. If he had put more on his passes then maybe they would have hit their targets, but he didn't and that allowed the coverage to breakup most of his passes or intercept them.

I love threads like this.

The Anti-Dak Cult Members exposing themselves for all to see how inferior they are, and how little they know about football.

Love it.
:lmao2::lmao2::lmao2:

and he wasn't great..BUT we needed him to be last night. He couldn't. The difference in the game was QB and self-inflicted wounds.
