Cooper Rush wasn't bad

Siriani wanted to suit up as a DB second half but Lurie stopped him by giving him a bonus

The only thing worse about a team with an average overpaid starter and a below average backup is fans arguing over either one of them

I can’t imagine another season with the status quo at the Qb position………
What’s your solution? Obviously from your answer it would mean next season a new top tier guy. Let me hear how we get this done and maybe I’ll be with you. Sounds great.

I first thought Cooper Rush had a bad game, but upon closer examination, he held up pretty well. He was accurate and effective vs the Eagles.
His receivers, not so much. Two of Rush’s interceptions were accurately thrown passes in which the receivers had position, but allowed the defenders to swat them out of the way to make a play on the ball. This can't happen in the NFL.
The Cowboys sold the farm to pay an overpriced, inept quarterback a huge salary, and the result is having receivers who are not number 1 caliber.
I hate to say it, but Cee Dee Lamb isn't great. Noah Brown is as close to being a number one as the Cowboys have. CeeDee just doesn't have the physique to hold up in physical games. The Eagles got physical with the Cowboys receivers and won the battles one on one too often.
Add to this missed calls by the refs, and Rush held up better than first thought.
Rush’s third interception was due to him being hit. It would probably have been a touchdown, otherwise.
Hate on him if you like, but this season still has a ways to go. Dak isn't as accurate as Rush, and if last night is any clue, the receivers aren't going to be much help.
Wut ?

He was bad in the first half. I thought his last INT was more due to being rushed with the throw, he made the right read but it got underthrown due to the pressure from his blindside.

Rush doesn’t have the arm strength. It’s not that hard to see. Dak lacks accuracy. Neither QB will ever see a Superbowl.

He was in the category of can't win with that type of performance. He had been OK up until this last game.

What Ladies and gentlemen I believe we found Coopers dad. Rush played bad yes. He had a good run driving the bus but lets be real Cooper is a back up. He did good back up Dak but he is starting to get exposed the more film people get on him in dallas offense.

As I've said, we don't know yet how good Rush can be. If he's not good enough, I have no problem with moving on. I don't think arm strength is an issue, though. Drew Brees didn't have a strong arm, but look what he accomplished.
But we KNOW that Dak isn't good enough.
However,
The Cowboys with Rush have been BETTER that the Cowboys with Dak.
So going back makes no sense.

Theory: Cooper Rush intentionally tanked the Philly game to lower his price a little bit on his next contract so the Cowboys can retain him for a fair price. He likes playing for Dallas but also wants to earn more than a minimum contract. This performance will allow both the Cowboys and his agent to meet in the middle.

I disagree he let go of the ball well before he was hit you have to get it downfield to the receiver running free it was a 6 if he hits 88 .

Don't do that......even Cooper Rush would have to admit his performance was sub-par for that game. Don't do that.

If you going with that....I'll say Cooper ain't doing anything to mess his opportunity to be in the OC Training School that Kellen apparently attended.

He accurately threw 3 ints

Cooper Rush was awful. Let's not sugarcoat it. He was a major factor why we lost.
