If Dak can't win big games, he needs to take a pay cut so we can "surround " players that can give us a better chance of winning BIG games.

Hear me out. Cooper Rush wins this game b/c Moore calls a more conservative/ run oriented offense with him in there. This team is not going to win with Dak Prescott conducting an air dominated offense. We should have stuck to the run game which was working beautifully. Dak reminds me a lot of romo........ he keeps both teams in the game.
This team isn't going anywhere if the f#$%king Jones don't make trades to bring quality players in to stop the run and replace the lousy mediocre players that are playing in the secondary! Also, can we all put to rest that Parsons in the next LT, he's not close! He'll be lucky to last another year in this league with the way they play him. He can't standup to the pressures of playing on the D-Line play after play and watching him play today reminded me of that dude name Smith who was cut because he looked like he didn't have a clue at LBer. That's right, after watching Parsons at backer all game he looked lost out there today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This team got exposed to the whole world today and it was ugly. I'd be surprised if MM lasts the year........

What can Cooper do? We ran the ball for over 5.0 ypc today. He can hand the ball off and not throw 2 INTs giving the other team 14 points?

This game plan didn't stop him from throwing 3 INTs against the Eagles and 2 against Washington which were only negated by penalty. Or Rush would have had 5 INTs, which cost the Philly game and could have cost the game against Washington if those INTs weren't overturned. I can criticize Dak for his 2 INTs and be realistic to the fact that the offensive game plan the Cowboys have with Cooper Rush, isn't going to be sustaining wins long term, in an NFL where teams are going to have to score at least in the high 20s or higher to win or stay in games.

Lol we lose this game because We're not putting points on the board with Rush making Greenbay run game even more effective

The Dallas offense:
- Got the ball at the 10 thanks to the defense and gave the ball away immediately
- Got the ball at the 30 thanks to special teams
- Had a 3 and out on 5 of 11 possessions during regular time
- Turned the ball over twice leading to 14 points

The defense didn't play great but if the offense just plays a normal game, the Cowboys win this by a lot. The bulk of the blame here should go to the offense. In today's NFL, you can't continuously go 3 and out / turn the ball over and expect the defense to bail you out. Particularly troubling were the 4th quarter possessions. Just run the game out.
Up by 14 and you're blaming the offense?????? Nope, not buying any of this garbage! This was squarely on Quinn and his god awful defense that has been exposed to the entire league today! They can't stop the run and if they can't get to the QB the secondary is toast too!

I'm done arguing tonight. The Dak fans will defend him to the bitter end.........even after a putrid performance like today.

No the Cowboys lost tonight ,,the whole team, if you cant see that then the problem is yours... but everyone already knew thats what you wanted.

And it's simple that this team isn't going to be winning any consistent games by trying to play Conservative every game with Cooper Rush as the QB, while just hoping that the defense and run game is enough to win every game throughout the remainder of the NFL season. Hoping that the defense somehow can manage 16 games of holding opposing offenses to 20 or less points.

Actually i kind of disagree, when your running for 4ypc you keep running until they stop it, but our doogie howser oc cant because that doesnt make him look good. Dak under center playing move the chains football works, but DQ needs to fix his edges ..period.

Todays loss was on Dak for those 2 first half INTs that killed drives and resulted in 14 GB points.

Cooper beat both super bowl teams from last year but he's got no shot against a 3-6 GB team riding a 5 game losing streak? If Dak were the QB we paid him to be, he would win games like this instead of giving them away.

Give me Cooper at 1/50th the cost and sink the money into the DL and LBs.

Your closing sentence is the most damning

They bellyache about how the defense blew a 14 point lead (which would have been significantly larger had the $40 million wonderboy not thrown 2 horrible picks earlier)

But the point is-- how much defense can you buy for the difference between what Rush makes and what Dak makes?

Probably a lot of defense I would guess.....

I don't totally disagree but it's sad that we really have no franchise QB

I meant in the current way the team was winning with Cooper Rush. Yes running the ball is important to do when it's working. But unless a Cooper Rush lead offense proves otherwise, the Cowboys weren't going to be able to win many more games, if the offense with Rush wasn't going to be able to score above 25 points. Which is the most they have scored so far this season.

With the defense giving up 30 points in back to back games, I just feel like some Cowboys fans are being unrealistic to say that Cooper Rush would have won this game. As they have no real proof that the defense would have been able to stop Rodgers from coming back from down 14 points. As the Cowboys never blew any team out while Cooper Rush was the QB this season. And him playing today would still most likely have meant that a Conservative game plan would mean Rodgers still being within striking distance to come back in the 4th quarter. Or Green Bay may have been leading going into the 4th quarter, if the Cowboys offense with Cooper Rush gave a repeat performance of how they have been playing with him during the 4 game win streak.

I'm not going to defend the defense. There were a lot of issues but the the offense hung them out to dry multiple times. If the offense had played like it did with Cooper and just ran / not turned it over, Dallas wins this comfortably.

Here we go. I guess this will be the norm the rest of the year any time Dallas loses. No NFL team picks Rush over Dak. Ridiculous thread.

Cooper Rush certainly isn’t the answer. Our points have gone up since Dak returned and we’re scoring more TDs, but the problem is we’re giving up more points/TDs. Our defense is starting to falter. Our run defense has been bad all season but now our pass coverage hasn’t been as good. Our defense is starting to break. We’ve given up an average of 30 points the past two games.

Did you see the Eagles game? Cooper Rush wasn't winning in the cold in Lambeau. Thats what the guy making 40 million is supposed to be for.

Uh no that is not !!!!! 40 million is what it takes to sign a qb in todays market. So NAW that 's a strawman argument. 40 mill is the going rate for a starter. next year it'll be the bottom half of the league

But what ever make s your hatred of the guy seem rational.

I agree Rush is not an NFL QB his arm and legs are just not there. He would've have lost today by a mile, not because he is bad but because he is just not that guy. We have a OC problem that these "Dak Sucks" guys know about but dont care about...Dak is not Elite but he is a good QB, but the GM decided we will be a run first team with a good defense and still lets the OC go empty shotgun all the time..CD is a good WR but he is not anything like the #88's we have had, he just isnt..

Don't know if the defense has gotten exposed and this is the defense we'll see for the rest of the season or if they felt like they could relax and slack up since Dak is back now. Either way they need to clean it up and must stop/limit the run if the Cowboys are to have any chance at or during the playoffs.

If this is the defense we’re going to see the rest of the season we’re done! It appears to be regressing. Parsons hasn’t been as good as he was the first few games of the season which is part of the reason. We were bending early on, but now we’re breaking. We’re not keeping teams out of the endzone like we were.

I know everyone is on a DQ high but to be honest our edges have been exsposed all year, that is a problem folks, expect it to continue until he adjusts.

We literally cant set an edge to stop anyting
