I hear ya.. but there aren't 32 starters to begin with in the league.Id like his replacement to have starting potential. Possibly someone in the draft. Dak might benefit from a QB room that’s a bit more competitive, and not so deferential.
Zeke can play QBI know this is putting the cart before the horse a bit but it's a fair issue IMO. I can't find a clear market value but have seen $4-5M range. That would put him in the same range as Brissett, Darnold, and Mayfield. It's likely going to come down to how we are willing to spend to keep Coop from possibly replacing Chase Daniel as Herbert's backup. Daniel is not only a free agent but word is he may be retiring. Who you think Kellen's pushing to help Herbert and the Charger's offense learn his system? In other words, Coop's $4-5M value to the Cowboys can easily be $6-8M with the Chargers. So we could very be in the market for a vet backup.....
- A few names I like .......Mike White, Teddy Bridgewater, Sam Darnold ( all should be in $3-6M range )

- One position that definitely makes sense for the Ravens to upgrade in free agency is backup quarterback. In a more recent breakdown, Zrebiec discussed why it would be important to sign an established backup. The past two seasons in Baltimore have ended with Jackson on the sideline dealing with injury. In the 12 games that Jackson has either sat out or left with injury in the last two years, the Ravens are 4-8, not including their lone playoff loss without Jackson. Teams like the 49ers and Cowboys displayed this year the value of having backup quarterbacks capable of winning games. Pushed into play due to injury, backup quarterbacks Cooper Rush, Jimmy Garoppolo, and Brock Purdy went a combined 16-4 in their regular season starts. While Rush is available, as are other options like Sam Darnold, Jacoby Brissett, and Andy Dalton, Baker Mayfield may make the most sense. Mayfield is an affordable option after flaming out a bit in Cleveland and Carolina, but he showed he still has the ability to compete in the waning games of the season with the Rams. He’s fairly young, having been drafted the same year as Jackson, while still experienced, and he specifically has experience in the AFC North. Mayfield also has a formidable talent for running the ball that wouldn’t require new offensive coordinator Todd Monken to switch things up too much when he’s in. Whether or not the former division rival is the answer, it’s become clear that backups Tyler Huntley and Anthony Brown can’t carry the team when Jackson is absent.

Yeah, I didn't look at anything concerning expected price range so that takes Jimmy off the board.Wanna see something interesting???? The Gap between their market values according to Spotrac
Mayfield market val= $6.5M

Garoppolo market val=$34.9M

rush sucks. no team in their right mind would pay him more than vet minimum and they would have to be desparate to do so. anyone thinking Rush is any good, needs their head examined. period.
will you wager? I'll bet he gets more than vet minimum.
If that happens, it's a statement pick to Dak IMO. It's going to be interesting how much they invest in the position this off-season.I think they may go QB as early as the 3rd round of the right one is available.
Yeah, Cooper is strictly a backup Absolutely zero starting potential.did you see our PPG with Cooper than with Dak IMMEDIATELY upon Dak's return. Cmon... hes MUCH better than Cooper.
What was his name, Duggan? I liked what I saw from him for a mid round pick.It will be the TCU QB.
The Vikings might! Lolrush sucks. no team in their right mind would pay him more than vet minimum and they would have to be desparate to do so. anyone thinking Rush is any good, needs their head examined. period.

Yeah agree that’s why I prefer the draft. Admittedly, it would only be on potential but a dude can dream I guess.I hear ya.. but there aren't 32 starters to begin with in the league.
