You thinks incorrect. I actually meant Barron, Kirkpatrick, and Kareem Jackson. I don't go back to see where my mistake was again

My point is, Alabama secondary guys can be overrated coming out because they played with so much talent in defense and the fact that SEC quarterbacks aren't historically great passers. It can be misleading.

Well a few things. One, Barron actually was moved to LB with the Rams and has been pretty good. Eddie Jackson is also a Bama DB who was very good being named an All Pro. Landon Collins is a pretty good S in this league. Marlon Humphrey is also an All Pro CB.

Me thinks you overstate your case. Every school has guys that exceed or fail to exceed expectations.

Of course he is.

Not if you followed the cowboys from 04.2021. But if you followed them for longer an then judge the decissions by our FO he sure is a wasted pick.
We invested enough draft picks into the LB position in the last years so we shouldnt have been in the position to draft a LB.

But then there is SJ and JJ and reality kicks in.

"Shouldn't have" had to do a lot of things over the years, thanks to Jethro & Son.

Who was still on the board that you would have taken with that pick, instead of Parsons?

You are right. Parsons was a good pick when looking only at this draft. But that was my point.

We were manouvered in a bad position beforehand by our FO. We suck bad at the Joneses position and Parsons wont change anything.

But anyways...

We could have moved up and taken Sewell.
Or traded down and taken Slater (i wasnt a fan of him, bit he still is a much needed commodity)
The CB were well "overdrafted" no need we traded up for them.

Best solution longterm: After watching what Dak could do in his first 5 starts and even lose him to an injury: tank 2020 and take Lawrence.

Here's what you're missing: Parsons is a generational talent that you are an absolute fool if you pass on.

I did not miss that. But you are missing my point.
where is your understanding problem? Maybe I can help you.

I had a feeling I was going to regret asking you that question.

Setting aside players and coaches don't "tank" (front offices do), the Cowboys were already 2-3 in those 5 starts. They were never going to get Lawrence.

You were claiming that we shouldn't have taken Parsons due to our mishaps w/ drafting LB's previously. However, Parsons is too good of a prospect to pass up, and the need is there. Soooooooooooooooo, what's your point? If you understand that his signs point up, then why do you believe taking him was a mistake? Yes, help me.

Parsons is an even better pick when looking at it long term/big pic. Why do you think he's not? How do you come to the conclusion that Parsons won't change anything? The facts and logic scream otherwise.
