Costa is bad and I would see how Kowalski is this week

No point in ruing that Gurode is gone. The fact that in one game he had almost as many bad snaps as Gurode had in the last few years is beside the point.

I do not believe it was the BS the skins were pulling as regards yelling cadences or the like. He must have heard that before.

Is it his short arms or what? WHAT IS THE PROBLEM?

I would see how Kowalski is this week, frankly.

I make no excuse for Costa that was about as poor of a game as I have seen from him. What ever the problem is the coaches need to address it. I like what I saw in Kowalski but not sure the coaches will be as quick as fans to pull the plug on Costa

I am not going to hang him yet. (prob cause we won ;) )

But.... young and dumb and the Skins pulling that BS.... he gets to live another day.

I was listening to Sirius this morning; everyone from Ross Tucker (who played O line for us some time ago) said Costa has had problems all three games. First I heard of that. But he said he really stank last night.

Also said Free has looked poor all three games. This is coming from every one I heard in 5 hours of listening to Sirius.

I think it was Bowen knowing some of the Cowboys cadences and the skins line was calling them out. It still doesn't excuse it, and if that is what was happening Costa should've been asking the officials to listen for it, but still.

It can't happen going forward, that's for sure.

OK, so both Garrett and Romo were fibbing about it.

Really?

I can understand if it happened once or twice, but that many times.

Sorry that does not wash. Garrett and romo are not going to throw Costa under the bus.

They both did a Wade.

Main thing is to address it and correct it. I don't think that means Costa is out but I do think he will be if this continues.

I just do not believe the explanation; not that many times. And his shotgun snaps were as bad as any Gurode ever did. I would put Kowalski in and give him a try.

Costa gives me that Cory Proctor sort of feeling. It was just painful watching him in the game.

There was 1 obvious play where they were calling the cadence. You could see the DE (and I have to see the play again, but it was right where Bowen plays), he was visibly yelling something and then jumped up in the air as the ball is snapped. It was obvious he's trying to distract Costa unless Haslett teaches a new 0-point stance technique.

I know Ware was flagged for this, I think in his rookie year.

I don't know if the explanation was correct or not however Garrett knows if this was happening or not. If it was happening it does not change the fact this is unacceptable and needs to be corrected. Costa will either step up or he very well could be moved out of the lineup.

I miss the Sirius nfl station...I don't have Sirius any longer. Free was horrible last night. Costa has played 2 games so far, not 3, but seeing the lack of running holes, it doesn't surprise me if he is grading out poorly too.

thought Costa played vs the Jets as well.

would also love to know why someone changed the title of this thread.

I say they address that problem this week, work on it, and make sure it's not a problem going forward. I don't know about giving up on a guy after 1 bad game.

Costa's had the same problem against SF and NYJ so I'm not totally buying that cadence excuse.

I didn't pay any attention to Costas blocking but I blame all of those bad snaps on the officials if the whole cadence thing was true.

There is nothing you can do about that as an OL.
