Not snickering at all! I love it!

But.... I only want to visit.
That means Giants didn't win... Or...
Cowboys won and I get to rub it in Giants fans faces with comments like, "one Cowboys super bowl win is BETTER than the two giants super bowl wins. Yeah, I Believe that... And I have used it before and they don't like that...because Cowboys are royalty. It just is.

Yeah... it's best that way.
Visit the real, live in the dream.

I've made it 40 years so far doing it. I don't know how, but...

If Eli is a glroified Trent Difer, is Tony Romo a glorified Danny White?

I think both Manning and Romo get more criticism than they deserve. Manning is a good quarterback who is great at times. Romo is a great quarterback who is good at times. That's the difference IMO, and I think their career numbers bear it out. Each have had bad outings but that's not the norm for either's play.

Calling Eli a glorified bus driver is crazy lol

So much animosity in this thread. If Romo coming back makes us the best team in the NFCE-and I'm not saying it does-we're still 2.5 back with 7 to play. It's a huge hill we have a distant chance of climbing. We need a lot of help, and it's not even Thanksgiving.

Coughlin's a great coach and has the skins to prove it. There's no reason to make this thread another denigration of our own staff. We've got 7 weeks of meaningful football left if Tony can't pull 7 rabbits out of 7 different hats. What do you say we just try to enjoy seeing if he can do it?

Eli manning has lead the NFL in interceptions in 3 different seasons. At some point you cant make excuses for that. Throwing a boat load of picks is his MO.

IF we are within two games after this weekend it's on! If not, it's over. Pretty simple. Commanders have a great chance of losing. Eagles probably beat Bucs.

Coughlin has been willing to change his offense TWICE in order to help Eli Manning. He changed to Kevin Gilbride to get Eli from having to throw the ball long all of the time and then switched to Ben McAdoo to make the passes shorter and quicker to help Eli.

I'm not saying we need to overhaul the offense like the Giants, but some changes are necessary. We refuse to move receivers around and to run a gadget play to help spark the offense. Coughlin also knows how to manage players in the game. You wouldn't see Murray getting 436 carries in a season no matter how great he was under Coughlin. He would plug in Randle and Dunbar to take away some of the carries. He wouldn't have us running the ball 80% of the time on first down and then mostly throwing out of the shotgun when we are passing.

He would also probably defuse the situations between the media and the players. He would probably understand that a player who is in the middle of contract negotiations and the media reports an untrue rumor that he has a tape far worse than the Ray Rice tape...has not exactly protected the player. Or that the media claims that he was celebrating an injury (again, untrue), may make the player a bit upset at the media so find a way to diffuse the situation before it ever starts because that is YOUR locker room.

There are certain things that Coughlin wants done his way. But those are outside the actual games. Stuff like discipline, energy, being accountable, etc. I believe Garrett has those in him. But, Coughlin is very open to changing the way they do things on the actual field of play if they think it can improve the team.

You had me until Garrett..

Eli can be great and has at times when the Giants needed him to. I don't think anyone can deny that.

However, he's also inconsistent. He's finished with a rating over 90.0 four times in his 12-year career (and looks to be on that path this year) but has had several stinkers, which is why his career rating is 83.3.

I prefer that he just be bad or at least average every year, but he doesn't do that, which is why he sticks around as a starter.

Fortunately, this year the Giants have enough question marks that we don't have to have Bad Eli show up to sink their ship. But Good Eli does give them a chance to right it.

The odds of Dallas winning out AND the Gnats losing half of their remaining games are astronomical,,,, and yet it could happen.

The AND is key. There's a good chance the Giants will lose half of their remaining games.

The real problem is DAL winning out, or nearly winning out. The Giant's are a .500 team with some tough games left on the schedule.

But we also need PHI to drop two, too. That's where things get difficult.

The Skins take care of themselves if DAL wins out, so I'm not counting them.

I'm positive the giants lose 3 of their remaining 6. And yes like you said we will eliminate the skins by winning out. The eagles still have to play the patriots, bills, Vikings and some other tough games. Not to mention they have to play both the Commanders and Giants both. It is mapping out perfectly for us to take the division.

I may get flamed for this but I have to be honest. Remember the year the Cowboys went 13-3 and had a playoff bye? Remember who won the Superbowl that year and beat us in our own house en route to the Superbowl? The Giants.

Remember who took a vacation in Cabo during that bye, sitting by the pool and getting his game on with Jessica Simpson or whoever it was? Romo. Witten was there too IIRC but as the QB of this team I had hoped that he would have taken that week as an opportunity to study game film of potential teams they would play not soaking up the sun at a resort. It still ticks me off thinking of what could have been if he had taken that week more seriously.

It may not have made a difference but I would like to think the QB and leader of this team did everything possible to win and nfortunately I can't say that. Do I still sound bitter? Good, because I am.

What team are you watching? The Giants are not good at all. They will be lucky to win the East this year. I don't see it at all. They are too inconsistent on defense and their offensive line is terrible. That first round pick - Flowers - constantly holds - never gets called for it either. They got lucky when the Pats lost Edleman to injury or else that game is not close.

That's true but they also seem to be getting better and they've had their fair share of injuries as well. If it weren't for their incompetent coach and QB not knowing how to work the clock they could very well have 4 more wins right now. I just read a stat that they have lost 4 games this season in the final 2 minutes and 4 games by 4 points or less. We may have beat them statistically in both games but they gave us a gift in that first game.

I still think they'll lose a couple more games because they always choke and I see us losing maybe 1 more game. GB isn't who everyone thought they were and Carolina still doesn't wow me.

Perfectly, assuming we're able to turn 0-7 into 7-0.

We'll see. I definitely would love to see it happen.
