Same here man. Lake Saint Clair close by is almost full to the brim and overflowing. That would be a first time ever in this area. Thousands of acres of farm land, unplanted at this points. Expect high food prices this summer and fall. I think strawberries will be like a mill per box.

Green eh?! Always a silver lining in the play book :)
yup...that's 1 positive. Problem is though, can't plant anything if your a farmer depending on optimal conditions...unless you gonna plant rice lol..

to give you an idea what I MEAN. We have a farmer next to us that now has to use a row boat to get to the other end of his pasture. lol...it was kind of funny though. Get this...also we now have so much water standing all around us, we have ducks swimming and large river turtles coming up into our front yard...its nuts! Talk about bizarre.

if anyone here understands West Texas and normally how arid and dry it is here, then you can truly appreciate the magnitude of whats happening here with the rainfall amounts. Crap, we just had another round of rain/storms last night. Its like every other day for the last 2 months! We aint talkin steady rain...we are talking many inches of rain in a short time span. The ground can't take it...nowhere for it to go. What we need is 2 months solid of no rain so we can dry out. Like Northern said, farmers are behind the 8 ball right now...and that means high prices for food. The farmers are being affected big right now.
