You have to believe Jerry is not going to pay Deware Haynesworth money, with new stadium and poor economy I doubt he has the cash. I have a sneaky feeling if we dont have DEWARE signed by the draft and the right package was offered ( 2 #1's and a player), he might take it. Why not have 3great players for the price of one. Not saying this is going to happen - however the loner it goes unresolved......:banghead:

Wouldn't two #1s and a player cost more than signing Ware?

No, they would not trade him. He will get more money than Haynesworth. I think they are waiting until the Steelers and Harrison are done with their deal.

1. I hope we don't pay him more than Haynesworth...that's simply insane and not good for a football team.

The bottom line still remains that DWare has no real leverage...that's why you use the franchise tag on a guy like him...even using it just once means you have him locked up with the Cowboys for the next two seasons, more if you wish, and meanwhile, he's still paid like a god.

The two sides will eventually come to terms, whether it's this summer, during the next season or after we use the franchise tag on him. But he's not going anywhere, nor do I think he will insist on being the highest paid defender in the league. I also don't believe for a second that Pittsburgh will pay Harrison Haynesworth money.

The Skins went overboard with Haynesworth....if Pitt and Dallas refuse to pay that type of contract for someone who is not a franchise QB, then it will not BE the market value.

I love the Dallas Cowboys---- Not any one player will trump that for me. If the Boys got 2 number 1's and a player. Its not out of the question for me. If I was Jerry I wouldn't sign him to a long term deal. I would let him play out this year and franchise him. Then let him walk. The biggest problem with Dallas is that we need to start gettin prepared to let players walk before their over the hill and when thier still hungry. very few players are the same after they get that big check. I'm not puttin ware in that category but I would be careful. Thats alot of dough that Haynesworth got.

sigh....this is why i don't post much in here anymore.

as soon as we get a player worth a damn, people get hellbent on trading them to try and get players worth a damn.

What about the poor econonmy in baseball???? The Dodgers just gave Manny a 2 yr $45mil. deal....all guaranteed. Haynesworth's contract is chicken feed!!! Ware's the only sure thing we have on this team!

Give me a similar trade package as we got for Hershal Walker and I would trade any one player on this team. I seriously doubt any team would be willing to do that.
