Could Garrett have been a good coach without Jerry?

Q
what'd he do in this game?
Its anybodies guess what will happen in any Cowboy game. Chicago is a club the Cowboys should handle. The club has a history of winning when they should lose and losing when you think they should win. Vegas must love them!!

When I'm faced with the Garrett detractors, I always ask.....who do you want? Subtract Belichick. Who do you want?

Kubiak? He got run out of Houston.
Payton? He's merely the product of Brees. His defenses are awful.
Fisher? I used to like him a lot. I was wrong. He blows.
Rivera? Doing well with a team very well drafted, but meh.
Tomlin? Bus driver. Roethlisberger and LeBeau caused all that.
Carroll? Dude is shady and failed miserably his first two tries in the pros.
McCarthy? Riding Rodgers coattails.
Andy Reid? Please.
Chip Kelly? Clown.

The only guy I really wish was here is Mike Zimmer. He's a good coach, and his roots are here. Perhaps Todd Bowles, too. Maybe Bruce Arians. That's about it.
Garret HC with Dave, Mike, and Norv. That could be a pretty cool bunch.

Kelly as OC.WTH...I need a drink. Thats too funny. Just as well go out and find some assistant defensive LB college coach and give him the job!

No one expects any coach to have success with Jerry anymore.

Garrett has been my greatest hope since Jimmy if he's given enough time.

it's not like any proven coaches are coming here unless no one else will hire them .

Jason has always been weak. Heck, he couldn't even handle a boy like Hardy...Imagine what Haley or Harvey Martin would have done to him. He would have left Dallas in a straight jacket.lol.

Agreed. No NFL caliber HC would even come to Dallas and try to work in Jerry's circus. Probably lucky to have a man like Garrett if the truth be told.

To answer the OP, no I do not believe Garrett is a very good coach. We have years of proof. The results last season spoke volumes. As for the Jerry factor??? Hard to say but there is no other GM that would have let him make the same mistakes over and over that cost us the playoffs in his early years. We are stuck with him for better or worse so I hope he does well.
