He's on the same secret sauce we have for sean lee.
Should I assume you're being facetious or just dont follow the Cowboys much.................?The title of the thread confused me this early in the morning: R Williams the receiver or R Williams the safety?
Knowshon Moreno might be a decent comparasion. He had talent but never really got a chance due to injuries and competition until his 4th year in the league. Sure that was his only good season but I'll be happy to get 1,000 yards rushing and 500 yards receiving from Williams if he does win the job.
He has game and a strong skill set. His issue has been staying on the field. But then again he went unclaimed all year on the practice squad. Assuming he's now 100% healthy I'm expecting him to be a key contributor.
Thoughts - Opinions?

Can you name me an RB in history that has had injury and confidence issues since his sophomore year in college finally having the light come on and becoming superman in his 5th season in the league?
There are no comparisons for Williams. There's one thing to go from team to team because teams overlooked talent, it's an entirely different thing when it's due to injury.

Yes, and Matt Johnson might be 100% too. You can NOT count on somebody who has been injured for the past 4 years. The number one ability is availability.
So if his injuries are a show stopper, why is he still with the Cowboys?
Could the fact his still with the team mean the Cowboys believe his injuries aren't career-ending?
Demarco Murray this year. Lol
He hasn't been injured for the past 4 years. He was injured in his first 2 seasons and then healthy in his last 2 seasons. But the Cards decided to move on in his 3rd season and then he was behind the depth chart in the 4th season with Dallas.
My issue with him is that he doesn't have a lot of top speed and his pass pro and pass catching is still suspect.

Wasn't there a report that there were multiple offers to sign Williams during the season, but he declined for a shot with us?
If (and it's a big if) he can stay healthy I don't see why he couldn't be a good back still. He had all the talent in the world at Va Tech. I'm excited to see Williams this pre-season. I'm not expecting him to win the job, but it is in the realm of possibility
