Could The Pacman Cometh to Dallas?

Why would Dallas want him? He has enough baggage to fill Valley Ranch and while it is true Jerry has worked with guys that have checkered past at least those players did thing on their own to show they were changed. Example Tank Johnson took personally responsibility for his action and sold off all of the guns he had. Pacman on the other hand goes to a strip club the day before meeting with Goodel and has since gone to these places despite the fact the league has told him not to. Pacman is not going to learn and in the meantime Dallas has a team to get to the SB and really does not need a knuckle head on the team. There are other choices out there Pacman is not the be all or the missing piece to the puzzle

First he has to be reinstated and since it doesn't look like that will happen any time soon it's a moot point.

but to answer the question

HELL NO

Second he has to be either released or traded by the Titans. Since it doesn't look like that will happen any time soon it's a moot point.

Jerry has plenty of opportunities to get players in Dallas that will generate ticket sales. I don't see Pacman as special enough to sell tickets on his own.

Forget about the off the field stuff for a minute. Pacman is not close to being in Deion's class when Dallas signed Sanders. Deion was not only established, but was playing at a very high level. Pacman was becoming a decent corner, but he still had work to do. And now he has missed a full season of critical development time at one of the toughest positions in the NFL.

Jones is a good punt returner, but I don't think he is a top corner or must have corner. Dallas can find other options and Jerry will sell tickets. That is what Jerry does.

If the Titans were so down on him that we could swing a deal for as much or less than Williamson garnered from the Jags, then I'd be all for it. Unfortunately, I don't think off the field character concerns damage your trade value as much as the inability to catch a football.

But if you could swing that deal, and have a young corner who fits what we have to do here with our corners better than maybe anyone on the roster currently, I think you'd have to do it. He really reacts well to the ball in the air.

I'm thinking that given the extended suspension, his value must be at an all-time low.

I would offer Tennessee a 6th rounder for him.

It would secure his rights when he gets reinstated and you acquire an excellent young corner at a bargain basement price.

Sign him to an incentive-based, last-chance contract which protects the Cowboys in case of future screw-ups.

Given the outrageous contracts talented cornerbacks are getting, the possible rewards are comparable to the PR risk in my opinion.

Owens is happy and productive, Tank Johnson is happy and productive, maybe the Cowboys can have success with Jones as well.

With a concerted PR campaign and explanations from all parties are entering into the 'arrangement', I don't think the media backlash should prevent it from happening.

No. No. No. No. No. NO. And Just in case that didn't get through...

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!

I want Pacman, people can say what they want about him, but we can sort his contract to deal with those things...he crews up then he's gone. As a player he is great for us, very good corner and great return man.

What the hell, 2 year contract. League minimum, behavior incentives worth a million bucks, as well as on field incentives. No signing bonus that would exceed $100,000. Please sign below, Pac Man.

For THAT!?! Absolutely!!! Bring him in. If he screws up, we aren't out anything worthwhile.

Put me in on the yes side for Pac Man. Would make a GREAT 3rd CB and is a dynamic Punt Returner.

I don't care how cheap or how good he is the Cowboys don't need a thug like him on the team.

I think there is Tank then there is this guy. At least Tank has shown the ability to change his "habbits" where Pac Man has tended to still have the belief that he doesn't have a problem. NO THANKS.

Curious......where did you stand on the Owens and T Johnson acquistions?

Curious......why would you put Owens in the same category as Pac Man and Tank?

Because they're all black.

More likely, he did it because they're all in the same class of "Players other teams should beware of/not touch with a ten foot pole/avoid at all costs". Regardless of the reason, they're all in that class.
