Could we get Peterson to agree to a Hardy deal?

I know far less likely because ARZ (or someone else) probably will pony up a sufficient, guaranteed-money long term deal, but might Adrian Peterson agree to a 1-year "prove it" deal with Dallas that re-establishes his market value running behind the best offensive line in football? Then he re-enters the market at age 30 having rushed for 2,000 yards and 18 TDs (as opposed to trying to negotiate a long term deal now after sitting out a year)?

Just a thought. Like I said, I think someone will give him enough money for him to sign long term...

I would be shocked if Dallas went after AP now. They have Hardy that has substantial baggage and it will create enough of a stir. Bringing in another guy with recent baggage is too much...IMO.

That one might take 2 years to negotiate....

The next big mega thread is now open for debate...he is coming here everything has aligned exactly the way team mgmt wished for. With recent news this week that Ariz will not pay AP at his currently salary only steam rolls this possibility....it's clear as day where he wants to play and where he will be willing to restructure his current deal. What an exiting time it is right now.

If he's released- no chance. Not a chance. No. Nope. Nuh uh. No way. Nein. Nyet. Я не шучу...
Someone will give him dollars. Real dollars. And he will take it.

First off while Peterson may be the best Offensive Player in the League, the Vikings want a 2nd round as compensation.

Secondly you gotta love young legs better than 30 year old legs. There are plently of young and talented legs available.

And then there is the Salary Cap.

Some said Hardy wasn't coming here. Well never say never.
Just imagine though. New addition of Hardy on one side of the ball and AP on the other. Very nice offseason.

It really is.

AP in Dallas makes way to much sense.

The time is now. 20 years we have been waiting. The time is now.

AP wants to be a Dallas Cowboy.

I would guess winning a SB, is as important to him as it is to, #cowboyszone. He is just as hungry for it, as we are.

His time is running out. Romos time is running out. Wittens time is running out.
The Cowboys were right there last season.

We have what seems to be the making of a "Great Wall of Dallas".

We have Kraken now!

Good young players. Maybe the best WR in football.

A coaching staff that is making all the right moves. JG coming into his own. Coordinators that are some of the best in the league.

The time is now.......... We need AP , and he needs us.....its a perfect match.

Lets get this done. Lets lay it all out there. And see what happens....

We don't have to mortgage the future to do it, either....Give a little, but not the "everything"

get AP. 3 years. 3 SBs.... Romo goes down as one of the greatest QBs ever to play the game. Which I think he is. But doesn't get the credit because of the playoff record.

The time is now. 35 years I have been watching Cowboys Football. I cant remember looking forward to a season, more then I am looking forward to this one.

Sign AP, and the Cowboys excitement will be off the hook. There will be only one goal. SB.
No more, "lets just make playoffs".....

I'm tired of Philly. Eli,
I'm tired of Seattle/Carroll....GB/Rodgers.
Its been 20 Years....

If not right now? Then when? The time is right now. Sign him.

Man that is a great post and I could not agree more this will be year 37 as a cowboys fan and I feel exactly the same way. It's so obvious the team is all in with the signing of the kraken and the best way to replace Murray and upgrade the position at the same time would be to bring in the best RB in the NFL. I'm overwhelmed with anticipation at the prospects of romo handing the ball off to AP and Hardy and Lawarence putting the fear of Doomsday as they meet at the QB. Last year I posted I felt like the team mirrored 91 now you bring in Hardy and potentially AP...man cowboy nation is gonna explode. This team is on the cusp of something special and you can feel it in the air!
