And Romo was the best QB in the league when that happened. Murray isn't in the discussion for what is being discussed though.

That’s kind of the point. Romo has his best year with a running game. Dak, meanwhile, had probably the best rookie qb performance of all time with a running game. To pretend that Romo was the only good player on this team is preposterous, revisionist nonsense

But why point to Murray when talking about 2006-2007? He wasn't on the team.

I was talking about how talented the teams were that Romo had. Not just 2007. Though that year is a good example of the talent we once had. He was here for quite a while and had several quality rosters.

You don’t need to disparage a hall of fame pass rusher like Demarcus Ware to try and strengthen your argument.

The whole “Ware disappeared in crucial moments” narrative is about as played out as it gets.

It's a fact.

Look at his breakdown statistically

40.5 sacks n games 1-4 of his career
38 in games 5-8.
24.5 in games 9-12
and 35.5 in games 13-16.

He had 49 games in December yet just 31 sacks and 46 games in Novembers and only 30.5 sacks compared to 37 games in September and 34 sacks and 41 games in October and 36.5 sacks.

His last year with double digit sack totals (11.5) in Dallas was 2012.

7.5 of these came in September and October.

The last year he had a great year in Dallas was 2011 with 19.5 sacks.

12 of these sacks came in the first two months of the year. He had only 2.5 sacks on 3rd downs...

Obviously a very good player, but not as consistently game changing as his reputation would suggest.

I love how they don’t point out the fact that in that picture, all of the chargers players are running to the sideline, because at that point in the picture, Dak was already scrambling to his left due to the pressure.

I mean it was a terrible pick that Dak shouldn’t have thrown, but this picture does not accurately depict what happened on that play.

When they showed the replay yesterday Witten had his man beat and was wide open after the cut. Dak never saw him or even looked his way. That's a play that has resulted in a TD many times before.

Romo had three hall of famers on his team, in their prime. TO, Witten, Ware...not to mention several all pros and pro bowlers—Ratliff, Newman, Flozell, Barber, even Roy before he got fat. this whole ‘Dak has a better team’ narrative is nonsense. There was plenty of talent on Romo’s teams.
He took over because the team was losing. It contained a few star names and had little depth elsewhere. THAT'S WHY HE CAME IN BECAUSE THE TEAM WAS LOSING.

Those teams were perennially overrated coming into each season because of the star power and perennially underachieved because of lack of consistent quality across the board.

So "when not pressured" he can block the DL and throw the ball to himself?

Good to know

As usual you continue to embarrass yourself
When not pressured that means the DL was blocked. Please try and think critically.

Sure.

And Daks team is just loaded?! Absurd. This team lacks quality across the board

Besides zeke and the ol, where is the talent advantage?

This team is starting Jeff friggin Heath at safety

Sean Lee has missed more games because of injury, but when he plays, he makes a bigger impact, hands down.

You can’t impact games if you don’t play in them. Sure, Lee could have had a hall of fame career if he were healthy. But he isn’t. Hasn’t been. And never will be.

These teams, especially as it relates to the QB, is much much better. Yes.
