That's is not what I remember. I remember it being reported that he left camp for a personal reason. It was later speculated he was having trouble with a girlfriend. He quickly was talked into returning.

Jerry went on to say that when he was in a high school all star game they moved him from RB to the line. He said he was getting his butt kicked so he got upset and went home. His dad got home found him laying on his bed in the dark and asked why he wasn't at football game. He said they moved him to the line and he was getting his butt kicked. His dad went on to say that if he quit he would end up always being a quitter and for him to get his arse up and go back regardless of where they moved him even if it was to water boy and if they did for him to drown their arse in water

I remember that version as well. I think I have heard both. Maybe the actual story is a combo of both.

They used a 3-man line with Vernon standing up behind the line in the A-gap between Fred and Martin. He then looped around the other side of Martin and back over to Dak.

And Martin looked to be letting Vernon go to set up a screen. It looked like Dak had something cross wired since Fred and La'el were also running out for the screen, but Dak was looking the other way.
