It's not as simple as looking at it that way. A player of his caliber changes the dynamic of the game.
He is not worth 16 points. This is exactly what it means. His ability to change the calibar of the game isn't worth 16 points.

On a side note: 7 tackles in 36 plays. 20% of the tackles in plays he played in. Can you guess who?

What was Jerry Rice's worth in changing the caliber of game in points? Just wonderin, since he's consider the top of the top for wr's.

I dont know. But the 49ers would not have scored 16 points less a game on average without Rice.

Do the math. No team is going to score 256 LESS points a season because they lose one non-QB player. Hell, not even if they lose a QB.

Like him or hate him, OBJ is a game-changer when he's on the field. It's not a stretch to think they turn some of those possessions into scoring drives, convert some of those 3rd downs and extend T.O.P. which effects how Dallas handles their possessions, keeps their defense off-the-field and fresh. Add to the fact he changes the coverages your secondary plays which means you likely give something up in order to bracket him, et cetera. Not to mention even scoring a TD in that game changes the dynamics completely.

Clock back in, the fries are burning!

I think Vernon had the one sack where he grabbed Dak by the shoulder pad. Dak did not have time to step to the side. This was from Morris not doing his job I believe, he overran to the wrong side.
This is why they need DMC in there as backup and not Morris.

Morris wasn't even on the field for that play. We had two tight ends and three wide receivers on the field, with an empty backfield.

Your posts just get worse and worse every day. You are making an argument that OBJ makes the Giants 256 points a year better and they would have beat Dallas with him. LOL. OMG.

Of course, after you proved your football knowledge with Jaylon, we can all be assured at how right you are about OBJ.

Based on that failed attempt at a witty response I actually feel hoodwinked as I'm realizing I must be talking to some pimple-faced middle schooler.

Yeah. Right on cue. Every time your nonsense is called out for what it is you resort to name calling. Now which of us is most likely that pimple-faced middle schooler?

Ok thanks, I was going by what Collinsworth said, I remember him saying something about Morris missing the block by running to the wrong side. Maybe I am confusing plays.
