I think this move will hurt the NFL's chances of getting the stay. Their best argument is that Mazzant jumped the gun in hearing the complaint before the NFL's appeal process had been exhausted. Now the NFL has jumped the gun in not waiting on Mazzant's decision.

Lesson learned for the High School students out there considering a career as a Lawyer. If you make Partner in a top ten law firm, you can literally do a "replace all" command on a Microsoft Word document to add the NFL's name to an old filing - and then bill someone 100K.

Maybe that theory that the NFL is actually trying to lose this case to get out of the social justice business is true. If not, egads! If I were an owner, even if I was one of those pushing to screw the Cowboys in this case, I'd have to be severely disappointed in how unorganized, unprofessional and incompetent this whole front office is. It should be downright scary entrusting the multi-billion dollar football business to these bunch of idiots.
