You’d be surprised how many professional athletes don’t like their particular sport…
They just happen to be really good at it and they view it as nothing more than their job.
And getting paid very, very, very well for it.

IIRC, the late Bud Grant said that is why he retired after one season returning as the Vikings HC, from a two-year hiatus; too many players were in the league just for the money - and not also for the passion of the game.

For a rookie, just be healthy for more than 10 games, don’t look awful, and you can consider it a productive season
Agree 100%. Stats won’t tell the whole story. There will be games where he gets pushed around by an experienced lineman and if he can progress with each game, it will be noticeable.

there’s gonna be some frustration on his part that he’s probably rarely experienced before. All the great ones have gone through this humbling experience

It's always good to hear your rookie 1st round pick say he doesn't like football.
True but Travis Frederick said something very similar in that he liked football because he could do things that would be illegal off the field.

Yeah, would much rather have someone that loved the game and would do everything in their power to be the best they can be at it.

Hell…..even old Butter Bean would knock him out in 1 round, lol
If ur face was in the wrong place at the wrong time....one of Butter Bean's haymakers would knock out an elephant.

Luckily, he would have a heart attack if he had to fight for more than 60 secs since he was a bloated fat piece of ...

I dont need stats

I need him to take on double teams which leaves parsons, lawrence, williams, and osi one on one and collapse the pocket when 1 on 1 forcing the qb to move off his spot

In the run game all i need is gap integrity thats it...

Idc if he gets 2 sacks and 4 tackles this year....if hes doing all of the above then hes a core piece of the defense

I remember him knocking out Johnny Knoxville for one of the Jackass movies…….looked like a hate crime was taking place even though the Bean was holding way back

I always wondered what a fight between him and Kimbo Slice would have looked like.

Pot meet kettle.
This is a social media fan zone where one is supposed to discuss openly anything about the Cowboys. I thought you were smart enough to understand that? Proof not the brightest join our beloved corps.
