Cowboys 1st-Round Pick Mazi Smith: 'I Don't Even Like Football; I Like Hitting People'

What Mazi does on the field is far important than any silly things he may say. I refuse to judge the guy based upon talk that I consider foolish.

I'm quoting just so this is easier to find mid season.
Help yourself.
And you hope we get that disappointment too huh?
Trying to save those that will listen from disappointment--and from prematurely trashing on Maz early in the season. Not bagging on the guy--I'm getting out in front defending him.. It's just a likely reality. DT development takes time.

The same guys here that get caught up in hype storms and premature e-jubilations...are the ones melting down on the game-day threads.

How long was Micah Parsons, Tyler Smith, Zach Martin, Travis Fredericks, ect ect ect supposed to take to figure out football?

Different positions, different players, different levels of experience.

Mazi only had two true seasons in college. DTs usually take longer to season.

I'm all in on this guy. He looks like a mean as# wrecking ball. Looking forward to seeing him in action. Go Boys!!!

Anyone hyping Mazi and what he will do in year one is in for serious disappointment. He's not ready for impact.

Muscles and mass don't make a player. He'll need commitment, a year of experience with Quinn... and perhaps a few days on Parson's island.
Mazi could probably bench press you 60 times, just think about that for a moment..... :muttley:
