CeeDee
OBJ
Gallup
Jalen Tolbert
Draft Pick

I think Tolbert still has a chance to become as good a pre-injury Gallup.

Gallup should be better in 2023; although, I don't know how much better.

A savvy veteran like OBJ (if healthy) is exactly what they needed in 2022.

Keep obj away. That airplane video showed just how weird he is. Don't need that baggage in Dallas. The draft is where they need to be. Any one of the 2 tenn wrs. My preference is jaylin for the sheer speed. But Tillman might be better allowing ceedee to play more in the slot.

Pretty sure you mean 2023 wrs

Try about 6'7" 194 lbs. Here's the Rice Bowl, which is the Japanese Super Bowl

He's number 85 in red. Here's the profile: https://sports.jp.fujitsu.com/frontiers/players/riki-matsui

He's 185 cm, which converts to 6' 6.9". His specialty is tough catches and red zone.

Haha 185cm is a little over 6’and he’s one of the bigger WR’s.

Japanese players cannot compete, it’s not even close.

Perfect example of the difference in talent level.

My buddy‘s stepson (100% Japanese) grew up in HI and he was a very good HS WR for a smaller school on Oahu. Kid was 6’ tall, had great hands, solid route runner but slow (4.8).
He got some mild Div 2 and Div 3 interest in the states.
He got a scholarship to play at a top level college in Japan

So a borderline D3 player in the US is a “D1“ player in Japan.

They need to build the o-line up for a power run offense. Dak is never going to be Mahomes or any other QB like that so don’t waste money on that type of offense. Make the defense go to elite next year with a power run game that’s their only chance to with Dak at QB

Tolbert looks like your classic roster spot waster for 3 years hoping that he doesn't turn out to be the black hole of suck that was Laquon Treadwell. At least Howie had the good sense to cut bait on Jalen Reagor befor too long.

Oh right, he's about 6'1". Still a decent sized WR. I still like what I saw. He was discovered when I was focusing on the kickers, who I think can compete on an American level. It'll take some time for the skill positions to come to American level, but I very much like the kickers.

Yes, he traded him after 2 seasons. That's exactly my point. Cut bait and don't let a roster spot be wasted because you don't want to admit you blew a pick.

Tolbert looks slow against college guys, and not exactly Alabama-Georgia college guys either. He ran a 4.49 40 so he has got to run good routes. I don't think he does that well either right now. He is another Noah Brown.

The Cowboys need some speed at WR. Just a couple of speed guys to open things up a bit and to outrun defenders once in a while.

It happens. I wouldn't have checked except for the weight. I was like, "dude must be a beanpole."
Yeah, still, he could always be an interesting option. For his size and all. He seems shifty enough. He's got good hands from what I saw. That said, I think the kickers are probably the place to start there. We need a kicker, and both teams have good kickers.

Normally I'd say pass on OBJ this offseason.

However, when you look at the WR FA list this year, it's pretty darn weak. Nothing really eye popping out there in FA. Marvin Jones? Sterling Shepard? Allen Lazard?

OBJ is a total risk but no one in FA gives you the potential upside of him either. This is a bad year to needing big time WR help in FA.

I cant Trust OBJ can last 17 games and not very different then TY , why not TY instead as they are similar players, but TY has a better attitude and already meshed with our team? Yes, Gallup will be better...
Hilton didn't want to play in 2022 until his son's high school football season ended. His son will still be playing in high school in 2023.
