If he likes the coach, he will stay.
umm the other way would be applicable,

IF BS and the O Staff likes Trey, they will recruit him to stay IF its team friendly.

We will find out what they really think Given i bet BS has better relationship with TL as he ran the practices more hands on than MM, was on the payer level a lot.. BS would know firsthand if there's potential he could nurture.

I agree, Trey should probably look to be in a RPO heavy offense.
If he’s ever gonna develop he needs to go where he can get reps. That might be Canada but he can’t develop watching and he’s failed to prove he’s ready to start

I just dont understand him staying in Dallas unless he has zero market elsewhere and returns as a 3rd qb. He requires a completely different offense than Dak will run which is a horrible thing to have as a back up QB. I'm a Lance fan, but his time in Dallas should be over given the direction the Cowboys have gone.
I disagree.

I think having a hyper mobile QB as the backup is almost always the way to go.

It’s hard to come into a game being a backup and just light it up throwing.

Running and extending plays is just a wildcard you have in desperate times.

I want Lance back.

Rush can go play somewhere else.

In my armchair GM role starting last summer I wanted the team to let Dak play out his contract (there was no need to sign him) and see what happened to verify if he was deserving of another mega million dollar contract. His early play proved that he was not worth it, and that the chance that he would take the team to a future SB championship was slim to none. As soon as Dak got injured and the season was effectively over, I wanted Trey to start to see if as a young QB with a lot of hype and potential, whether he had what it took to be a starter, and if not, draft someone who did. I thought that was the reason he was traded for in the first place, not what now just seems to be some unsuccessful negotiating tactic of Jerry Jones with Dak which ended up being purposeless. None of these things happened, but I think that this train of thought qualifies me as a better GM than Jerry, although that isn’t much of a standard.

I could actually see a scenario where Lance comes back to Dallas on a short term deal. Remember, no team offered more for him than Dallas a couple years ago, and that was merely a 4th round pick.

Lance has done nothing since to suggest teams will be knocking down his door with free agent offers. He might agree to come back as Dak's backup for a year or two, get even more preseason and practice reps, and then see if he has a future in this league. He's still just 25 years old if I am not mistaken.

Another Ex Buckeye, transferred out from a deep QB group.
McCord not bad at all.
What do you think about McCord vs. Howard?

I thought Howard looked pretty shaky in a couple games but that was a good run. He had to work hard and earn it. mentally survive some tough criticism.

I’m
Just curious, what do you see in Lance that makes you think he’ll ever succeed in the nfl under any coaching staff.
I don't think he will. But it would a very Roseman move to try if they could get him for peanuts. Maybe they'd just run some wildcat plays with him. And I mention Reid only because he's a wizard with QBs and if anyone can get some productive plays out of him it would be him.
