I don’t expect Connor to be an instant star as some do and I loved the pick
But he needs a full off season to get bigger and stronger
I think he will be ok but his best football won’t be this year

i have similar strength concerns for this year.
hope he is at least as good as what we had last year

Connor Williams is a fine 2nd round pick by the Cowboys that will get more playing time this season than any 2nd round pick the Cowboys have selected in their first active season.

Hernandez is more in the mold of Chris Snee and the Giants have those kind of expectations for the kid.

Hernandez is a beast no doubt.

Connor will not be a guard like him though. Different styles. Connor is going to be a guy who gets by with excellent athleticism and technique, rather than size and strength. And that’s ok.

Don't have very high expectations for Gregory this year. If he can just be part of the rotation I'll be happy.
2 years away from football, hes not getting 12 sacks people.
If he really has turned the corner and can stay clean - my expectations will jump next year.

I prefer what they've done the last two years in the 2nd round. No gambles. Don't get cute. Just take good football players.

I'm with you on this although I'm not opposed to an occasional gamble. My issue was back-to-back gambles.

BTW, Jaylon Smith will not play a down in the NFL at 100%. You're getting sucked in by offseason fluff articles. His leg is permanently damaged. He'll never move the same.

It doesn't really matter if he's never 100%, what matters is can he be an effective, quality LB that helps this team for several years. We'll see if that's the case.
