This is great news, im still kind of upset we havent heard any news on Dez and his deal. Its like every team is waiting for the other team to set the market.

Good for him.

I just hope this doesn't get other players to start wanting to renegotiate their deals.

I wonder what Leary is going to do...? I hope he decides to stay here and be a backup.

I dont believe Leary has nearly as much leverage as Orlando did.

Not sure Scandrick had any leverage, he was under contract. His only option was to sit out and he was not going to do that. Dallas took care of him now I expect him to go out and earn the money he just got

It was the right thing to do for Scandrick.. I also think they did it because they know they are about to ask Carr to take a paycut and you can't just go around asking players for paycuts and not paying guys more money when they deserve it.

Leary making 500k a year is a joke. That guy can move any DT in the run game.

I wish we'd try to sign him to an extension. OL injuries happen and what a player he would be to have as a backup.

He's probably worth 3 to 4 mill a year on the open market though so I doubt he'd sign here on the cheap.

I almost wish Collins would play RT because I believe Leary is a better football player then Free.

how many contracts is this for scandrick? 3 or 4? he obviously has a lot of fans in the organization, primarily the head coach. i think he's got the work ethic and demeanor on/off the field Jason Garrett desires.

Did they just tack a year onto his existing deal? I'm curious how this actually impacts present salary cap dollars. It could easily be a year that he doesn't see.

It pays to be a good worker and teammate.
