Corso, I have always respected your ability to exchange post , while keeping in mind that none of our opinions mean anything in the grand scheme of things. Before I took some tie off, we disagreed on many subjects, but we never allowed things to get disrespectful or turned to personal insults. That is rare in these boards.

I distinctly remember. We were always cool. Still are to this moment and we still disagree on a lot of things. It might not have been you, but there was a thread you and I were going at it and someone said I should just put them on ignore when I striked back at them... My stance was the exact same then as it is now. I ignore nobody and I will confront anyone within reason whoever stands up with nonsense supporting their nonsense (which you proved was not so).

Which is hypercritical because I'm full of nothing, but nonsense...

I give an example that I thought anybody should be able to understand. When you get a good deal in life, you don't scree it up by creating tees that makes the deal not so good anymore. They had a good deal with Scandrick. Why chSnge that? Is that simple enough to understand now?

OScan was obviously unsatisfied with his deal. He didn't make a huge deal out of it, but he let the team know. Putting the screws to one of your best players is not a smart business move when future moves are dependent on players freely choosing to sign here.

Is 600k in cap space worth going to war over??

I agree. All speech, even hate speech should be met with more speech, not censorship.

If you are truly debating a fool, he will reveal himself soon enough.

I usually reveal myself too quickly... hence my not having 5 digit's worth of posts.
One must pace themselves, lest they pass out before the finish line.

Don't kid yourself. Your likes to posts ratio or LIPO score is at 72%, very respectable.

I think this sends a fantastic message to the players.

"If you outperform your contract, we will pay you. We take care of our performers."

That message alone is worth the extra 2.5m a year. If I was a player on the Cowboys, that would strike home with me. I'd be giving 110% on every rep, every lift, every sprint, and every play.

And players have an ability to withhold their services.

A negotiated fine and forfeited salary is also written into contracts.

This is fun.

Exactly
And I have no problem with that
It is cowboys over paying and renegotiating with an average player multiple times is where I have the issue

Of course you ignore him...he makes sense whereas you, jnday, and his wanna be GM, Fallen Star don't.

I have been very nice to you since I returned. Now why would you say some backhanded comet like that? If you could accept other's opinions , your might just learn something.

People get so butt hurt over the smallest things. OSCANDALOUS is not an average player. He is rhe best CB on our roster at this time. He went to his employer and had a mature exchange regarding his worth. He then came through on his promise to report and continue to earn his current paycheck while hie employer deliberated over his mature exchange. His employer then decided that they agreed with him and he gave him a little bump in pay. Over. Done deal. There nothing to see here....

Someone they have relied on for 4-5 years and still makes well below other starting CBs

My only point was that you can deride Scandrick all you want. You can cheer Peterson on in his attempt to gain leverage against Minnesota. But there's some pretty serious cognitive dissonance if you're doing both of those things simultaneously.

I support both.

I would be more kore seed by players that retured money after not producing up to the level that their contract pays the for. There are may more of those types in this league than there are underpayed ones. How about Carr returning the millions of dollars that he has stole? Average CBs don't deserve his contract. I can go on and on with players that should be doing prison time for stealing money from the team. Wouldn't that be more impressive to you? I know it would for me.

Of course it would, but that's never going to happen.

Would you give your paycheck back to your employer if you missed a deadline, called in sick, or any other reason?

It never happens in any industry, and it never will.

But plenty of players have seen the writing on the wall and taken pay cuts to stay with the team, like Doug Free.

Carr has to know he won't get anything close to 8m on the open market and might take 4m to stay in Dallas.

If players know that they will rewarded for stellar play and cut for poor play it keeps everyone focused.
