I may look composed, but on the inside I’m laughing uncontrollably at everyone who thought there was ANY chance he’d miss even a single game.

Hilarious that anyone believed that

Oh please. Anyone who thinks it wasn’t possible he might miss a game or two is being ridiculous.

Well if he stays healthy for 8 years, especially the way he runs. I'm not a fan of his, will not cheer for him like I used to. I just hope we can keep Cooper.

No.
He needs to factor in the current years remaining plus the new
Zelke is 12.9 million over 8 years
After 4 years, they can release him if the want and save about 50 million. If hes still ballin’ that wont happen, but they do have an out.

I’d like to see Gurleys true numbers when adding the year he still had left on his deal. The fact that Zeke still had two years and this year was for $3.5 million, I think his average may be lower that Gurley for the total deal.

It’s a very dangerous opinion. One that could get you in trouble if you said it out in the open instead of behind a keyboard.
That's stupid. That's like saying talking about cancer causes it. Whether I share that opinion or not, those feelings are out there.

End of the day nobody cares if you cheer for him like you used to anymore than they care that I’m laughing at your self importance.

So it seems to me that he got the guarantee of 50 mill but is still playing for 3 mill this year and 9 mill next year. So the average of 12.875 is real and the 15/yr average does not start til 2021.

Highest paid, but not really. Seems quite fair to me given the hold out after year 3. I think we made a good deal!

Listen I'm not happy with the way Zeke handled his business, but that is in the past now. The Cowboys are much better with him and he is here for the foreseeable future. Lets focus on killing the Vagiants. It's not my money we are discussing or yours. The Cowboys decided to pay him, regardless of what I've said in the last few weeks, he is probably worth every penny!

How are they going to be coming for him. Are you advocating for violence? This is the state of a certain segment of this country now.
Yes it is.

Remember when this site had a political forum?

I do. I remember who was who. It’s not hard to figure out even if you don’t remember.

I remember getting upset during the pre draft of 2016 hearing Dallas was going to take Zeke. They had just signed Morris and McFadden had a solid year. That being said, Zeke has been exceptional since he has been in Dallas. He really should have won the 2016 OROY (Dak did deserve it). Had he not been suspended in 2017 he would have lead the league in rushing three years in a row. And being honest, our offensive line hasn't been all that great the last two years. It has been good but not the best in the league. I'm happy a deal is done. A few things:

1) I hope Dallas has an out after 2024. Zeke is 24 right now. He would be 31 in 2026. I can't see him playing at a top level that long. I think he has 5 really good years left. He is durable. I'm sure Dallas front-loaded the deal too.
2) I think running backs are making a comeback in this league. From 2001-2013 there were really only two great running backs (LT and AP). Now you have Bell, Gurley (Knee), Zeke, Saquon, Kamara, and CMC. Price tag will probably go up too.
3) He HAS to stay out of trouble. Period. There better be some kind of clause that if he gets in trouble then Dallas can say bye.

Thing I love about this franchise is that he still has a long way to go to be considered in the same breath as Dorsett and Emmitt. Zeke will probably be #4 in franchise rushing yards after this year and #3 after next year.

How could they not have an out by then? All the bonus money will have been paid, his salary will likely be high, and all that will be left cap wise is a few years of pro-rated bonus money. By 2024: I have no doubt cutting him will save large cap dollars so it will just depend on what kind of player he still is.

Are you still cheering for the former Spur that just left to the Clippers? I think his name is Kwami, serious question, just wondering
