22 million dollar is not worth 1100 yards and 9 TDS. And FYI.....he would have NEVER done that here with Lamb being the #1. Getting rid of Cooper was a great move.

Replacing him with Brown was a bad move.

Getting a 5th rounder in return was Jones at his finest bad GM antics.
Your making assumptions. We desperately needed additional WR help last year, especially during the playoffs.

Speaking to the original post, the Amari trade was weak by our GM especially given todays rates.

With Gilmore on board:

1) Sign Wagner

2) Draft Bijon

3) Draft Board: TOP WR, TE, or DT Rd 2

4) Repeat above for need Rds 3 and 4

5) WIN SB.
I'd put a top Guard in that list as well, possibly 1st round. Not exciting, but bolsters the line. And I would not be dissappointed if they got Bijan instead... however, I think there are some RB candidates in later rounds that would ease the pain of missing out on Bijan.

In a draft that is limited at the Guard position, and the top 2 Guards (Torrence and Avila) are really good... I say get one of them first, then move up in the second to get either Mazi Smith, Jahymir Gibbs, or Drew Sanders. Hopefully, the draft falls that way. Plugging in top 50 talent at Guard, DT and RB or LB is a successful draft!

They arent signing Wagner after signing LVE.

And if you are counting that level of contribution from day 2 picks, you are not as close as you think
most likely not but LVE is basically a 1 year 6mil deal..you never know they could do that but i expect a FA WR next..not trade a FA brought in that truly available AND NOT 16-20MIL.

Dont get me wrong I love our secondary. Its our run D that has been hurting us.

I agree, and it's why I've been pounding the table so hard for a nose tackle. It was self-evident the difference a NT makes when we had Hankins in. If we can get another NT to rotate with Hankins, I think our run defence will significantly improve.

What we needed was a better oline and someone else besides Zeke being featured in the run game.

We did need a good 3rd WR. But we didnt need a 22 million dollar Cooper. In a salary cap world, he was a luxury we couldnt afford.

list is off no BJ no Wagner with VE but a VET WR(no not a trade) for sure you can get a RB in rounds 3-4 and they eb a very good one.. BJ is move IF they didnt bring back Pollard. LG in the first is my guess followed by BPA LB/wr

we dont know what they are doing with Zeke yet..he and 77 are next on giove me money back so they can make another move.

They didnt even have to throw the ball. Purdy actually had an almost identical day to Garrappolo the year before. 200 yards and no TD's.

We have had great WR's for years. This team needs a top flight Oline again and someone else featured besides Zeke. THAT is the difference.
We have have had that before, but never with a great defense. Sure ok.

As you probably know, having another threat like Amari can create great matchups for Dak to get the ball out quicker. Maybe limit the throws into double courage he has been doing lately. That would have helped last year. I think.

He'll be 33 in September, has one year left on his contract, and the Colts are in rebuild mode. The Matt Ryan experiment failed.
PP is 32 Slay is 32 lets not bring in age and where they are when this pace begged for a move, this is solid move,. they also have depth with Rhodes if hes still here.,

Aikman needed every piece of talent he had. Without Emmitt he never won a game. Without Irvin he sucked. Without his vaunted Oline he was terrible.

Try again.
I’m sorry dude but aikman had more talent than Prescott will ever reach and I love Dak but he isn’t on that level

Yes aikman was surrounded by a alot of talent and I think Dak would be able to win with 90s crew but I’d feel better with prime aikman on this team than Dak and it’s not close

We essentially have the same team, have to agree with some of you. Vandy, Wilson, a past prime CB; now we need to sign Schultz and you guys will be saying how close we are, yet we did nothing! We also have the same QB who sets records throwing picks, so ......................

Agreed with the Oline and Zeke. I feel as if our Oline is recently perennially overrated and more a problem than folks like to admit.

Given that we ended up with Brown and a hobbled Gallup, I wish we would have put more effort into Cooper or an alternative.

Yah and Randy Moss would have helped too.

Reality is that having Gallup, Shultz, Lamb, Cooper wasnt enough. Why? Because the Zeke sucked, the Oline wasnt good enough and two years ago the D wasnt good enough.

More to football than skill positions.

Aikman had 2 left feet. Couldn't scramble. He had one of the strongest and most accurate arms when given time, but he struggled when under pressure or without the best Oline and weapons around him.
