I’m sorry dude but aikman had more talent than Prescott will ever reach and I love Dak but he isn’t on that level

Yes aikman was surrounded by a alot of talent and I think Dak would be able to win with 90s crew but I’d feel better with prime aikman on this team than Dak and it’s not close
Im not comparing the two Im comparing the team and coaching around them and saying much of their success is because of that.

Aikman on this team with Zeke getting 50 yards a game and the Oline pass blocking would get absolutely destroyed.

You must have forgotten the last 5 Aikman years when the oline wasnt all world and the run game faded.

Agreed with the Oline and Zeke. I feel as if our Oline is recently perennially overrated and more a problem than folks like to admit.

Given that we ended up with Brown and a hobbled Gallup, I wish we would have put more effort into Cooper or an alternative.
Oline is a huge problem. To me the Oline is the most important aspect of an offense.

I could not agree more, but seldom talked about.
Fans watch a QB drop back, have all day and then step up and throw a perfect spiral to a guy wide open and think the QB is god. LOL

Then they watch a QB have 1.5 seconds to throw, is hurried and throws an incompletion and thinks he sucks. I really think they have no idea what goes on beyond that.

We can look at Mahomes, Goff, Brady and all see examples of the difference in play level with a great Oline and a bad one. People still dont get it.

Everyone understands the basics. The issue you guys have is you expect perfection on the o line for Dak. No one in their right mind thinks what makes Mahomes special is his ability to throw with all day in the pocket. Dak has had one of the better o lines in the league his entire career. That's just a fact.

Agreed.

It's like we are living in the past at times with the news media saying our Oline is great, but if you watch the game you know that is not true.

Aikman had 2 left feet. Couldn't scramble. He had one of the strongest and most accurate arms when given time, but he struggled when under pressure or without the best Oline and weapons around him.

Much better at reading defenses aikman was. That’s not a knock on Dak because I like him but aikman was better in fact aikman in my opinion was the second best qb to don the star but I don’t want to hijack the the thread with a qb debate

Yah and Randy Moss would have helped too.

Reality is that having Gallup, Shultz, Lamb, Cooper wasnt enough. Why? Because the Zeke sucked, the Oline wasnt good enough and two years ago the D wasnt good enough.

Moore to football than skill positions.
But Randy Moss wasn’t on the team the previous year. Moss never played for the Cowboys remember?

I am referring to last year. Would having Gallup, Shultz, Lamb and Cooper be good enough to beat the Niners in the playoffs last year? Maybe, maybe not. We know that not having Cooper didn’t help. Was Dak throwing into double and triple coverage all over the place with Cooper? I can’t remember Dak playing worse than he did last year with Cooper.

We know Dak didn’t have the interception riddled season like he had last year with Chaz Green at LT for a period, but he did have Dez, Beasley, Witten and a healthier Zeke.

I’m not saying Cooper is the answer and the trenches aren’t important. I’m saying it’s evident now that Dak needs as many weapons around him as possible. Getting rid of a weapon like Cooper hurt the offense. Period.

Still have dak
right a top 10 qb with no losing seasons, bene to the playoffs 4 of 6 years , a better stat line in 97 games then Peyton manning ie more total tds half the interceptions. right we still have our starter,

go pull all the stats from the 3 playoff loses rams both 9ers games you will find an overpowered outmatched OL , no run game, an outmatched OC, and for sure many penalties most of which on the OL or DL and a defense playing te pass easily because of the OL and lack of run game..easy to play converge when not worried about the run or more than one viable target,. good try though.

Had a good to great OL for 4-5 of Daks 7 seasons. The line can’t drag Dak to the finish line

He'll be 33 in September, has one year left on his contract, and the Colts are in rebuild mode. The Matt Ryan experiment failed.
Gilmore is exactly, to the month, 2 years older than TE Darren Waller. Our fans just love what they don’t have and moan about what they do have.

They need upgrades at DT.

Gilmore obviously helps. But if they get so so DT play again, it won't matter. One thing people forget, the pass rush kind of fell off by season's end. A big reason for that was really no real pressure from the DT spot.

It's mindnumbing that Jerry and Stephen still don't seemingly can't give two craps about the position. And no, don't say, "Oh, they will address that in the draft..........." This is not a great draft for DTs.
