Belichick didn’t even design the Patriots system. His background is as a defensive coach.
If you don't think Belichick design that entire system think again. Him and he alone puts his coordinators in place and he tells them what he wants them to do

That's new to me my cowboy brother. I thought Prescott was waiting until next season. He wasn't in a hurry. Maybe the Joneses are implementing something trying to get it all wrapped up because I don't think it was Prescott
There have been numerous reports about the Cowboys making offers, and there was the much repeated report that Dak’s agent asked for $40 million/year. Of course, it’s hard to know what is accurate in media reports

Well if we want to replicate the Patriot's "way" of doing things they need to dump Garrett. Dak isn't the issue. It's the useless Head Coach that doesn't have a clue how to adjust towards game situations in order to win.

If Bellicheck had Dak he would still probably find a way to get to the Superbowl.

They were coaching at the same time while Belichick was coaching in Cleveland.

Belichick didn’t become the Pats coach until 2000. Jimmy retired after the 1999 season.
Yes but they were still in communication and that was my point. Argumentative tonight aren't we. Be good be safe

Haven't even watched the video, but it's obvious to me that with Dak as our QB, we must allocate sufficient resources to overcome Dak's deficiencies.

Right now, we just can't be the Patriots..

What are Dak’s deficiencies exactly? If you go by all the stats, he’s up there with the best.

Patriots don't have a "formula". They have the greatest QB to ever play and probably the greatest coach ever. This isn't something you can copy. Not one other team this century have came close to achieving what they have.

Incorrect. He may give general guidance and input, but he is not the designer of the offense, and he isn’t drawing up the game plans or calling the plays. The man was a receivers coach one season in 1977, but otherwise has zero background as an offensive coach.

There are just as many people that have evidence that Dak is the problem .

Coaching is our problem and has been for a long time. They don't know how to adjust or create any gameplans besides the most vanilla basic ones you can get. Defense is also a huge liability still. No matter what these stats tell you.

Jimmy wasn’t drafting anyone at that point though. He simply had a TV gig with the NFL.

This thread is hilarious.

It was not even started with a sound hypothesis.

Both Dak and Aikman quarterbacked a run first offense. Dak's number are better than Aikmans'. So if people( not you JUST speaking in general) are looking at Dak's stats and saying, he can't get it done. Then how did Aikman get it done?

Statistically speaking, defensive turnovers has been the only difference between Aikman's teams and Dak's team.

He's obviously not a stat machine pocket passer.

That's all.

You need an Ariel threat capable of more than sub 30 TD's with way more passing yards in order to be what we're not: a pass first offense.

Because he can't stand back and throw lasers like Troy or throw for oodles of yards is why I called him deficient....

Dak is good for what he is, but he'd fail miserably on another pass-first team with little surrounding talent - anyone really going to deny that?

A coach like BB would take this Cowboys roster deep into the postseason and probably win the SB.

Dak was a product of his offensive coordinator. Dak is in his 4th year. The previous 3 years he was a wide eyed rookie totally dependent on his OC. He's in his 4th year now and with a new OC. This is his year. I don't understand fans that don't get that. You and the rest just focus on the hate and what you hear from the SAS'S of the world.
