(Now that I have your attention and laughter out of the way )!!…we could beat the remaining teams except the eagles and may actually get the last wild card depending on other teams falling apart… I will revisit this post on Friday if we don’t beat the giants and ask for inputs about organic tanking the rest of the way…

The reality is if we win, we win and if we lose, we win.
That may be okay in your mind, but in mine, it's not going to get the best results in the long run. I feel as though our best bet would be to ensure that earlier picks throughout the upcoming draft is the better result in the long run. That's not to say I favor losing on purpose. Of course, the immediate satisfaction of winning will be missed but I feel this team is destined to lose generously, despite their best efforts.

Jerry would be obliged to allow Will McClay to do his thing, however. As always, that's a gamble in and of itself.
I would rather have earlier picks too, but would really enjoy watching them win as well, and believe that they can.

Hate to say it but wins against bad teams right now somehow embolden Jerry into pretending he didn’t personally oversee this awful roster that couldn’t beat a good team with a two TD head start.

In other words don’t drink the kool aide. Empty seats, grocery bags, less jersey sales and boos at the stayjum are “the wins“ that could bring better changes.

They beat the Steelers on the road.

Just a fact. You said this roster couldn't beat a good team when they already did beat a 1st place team.
All I’m saying Rambo is this 2024 Cowboys team is not good. Bad teams can occasionally steal one or two games a year. Like BillParcells said years ago, “You are what your record says you are”. We are 4-7. The record says this is not a good team.

Examples- The chiefs lost to the colts in 2022, and to the raiders and broncos in 2023 when they were all bad teams. None of them made the playoffs. The 2021 Cowboys which was a good 12-5 team, lost at home to a bad non-playoff broncos team that year. Bad teams beat good teams several times a year in the NFL.

The NFL is very competitive. Bad teams occasionally beat good ones. Like us beating Pitts. The standings are what tells you what a team really is.

2023 was proof of that!

Nobody’s gloating.

The second the cameras caught the “we suck” on the sidelines you knew if an out was presented it would be taken.

A few of us said in the offseason that Dak wouldn’t play this whole season if he and the team were bad.
There is straightforward stuff here from Mr. Prestrash as I know my parasites very well.
This goes back to the GB Playoff loss, and I'm also positive there are signs in the lockerroom that Dak is not the leader they sell here or is not respected very much amongst his teammates.
Realizing that they no longer carry the BUM the injury was a guaranteed "out" for Dak and as I predicted destined to happen.
His 3 rd one will be his last as a Cowboy.....

That’s what I read this morning. 3 of our next 4 games we will be favored to win. And the only road game is at Carolina.

NYG, Cinn, Car and Tampa are all arguably winnable games now. If we could reach 7-7 we’d definitely be back in the hunt.

Wouldn’t that be something however unlikely it appears now. That’s what winning a game does for you. Amazing for a team that didn’t look like it could win a game rest of season.
If 3 out of the 4 were on the road, you might be on to something.

Can they go 9 and 8?

4 wins would put us at 8-9................that is not going to do it for playoffs, we have to win out.

You win out, go 6-0, then that puts you at 10-7 on the year..............might be just enough for the 7th seed, but even that is iffy.

Unless the Eagles clinch everything and sit everybody, the Cowboys are not going to beat the Eagles so talk of running the table and making the playoffs is moot. NOT HAPPENNING.

Come on

Going 3-5 before the 60 million dollar man quit on the season just to get dug out of the hole and make the playoffs with the 2 million dollar man would be beautiful.
Dak is not worth $60 million, I said that all offseason and that I would let him walk if I was in charge, but with that being said, where the hell are you getting that Dak quit on the team???

The dude tore his hamstring straight off the bone, he went to New York and had surgery last week.

Being injured to the point of needing surgery is not "quitting" on the team. Just like DLaw is not "quitting on the team" and just like Parsons was not "quitting on the team".

Did Diggs "quit on the team" when he missed all of last year with a torn ACL?

No offense, but claiming injured players are just players who have decided to "quit on the team" is just a stupid take.

The packers last year were 2-6 but finished 6-2 so we are in the same boat

When he was caught saying "we suck" on camera you just knew the second he was presented an out of this bad season he was going to take it.

You can go back to the offseason to see a few fans here saying that if Dak is bad and the season goes south he will not play all 17 games.

I am a season ticket holder and I hope we lose every game from here on out. I wished we had also lost the Washington game. It’s tank/draft pick city or bust from my point of view.

A few trade backs could net us a pretty nice draft haul.
