The Cowboys have a Superbowl caliber defense and the team will send shock waves throughout the NFL with this victory.

The blueprint:
Dallas must dictate the tempo.

TOP- The Saints lost to the Bucs, the Bucs had the TOP. The Saints almost lost to a stout Baltimore defense and ball control offense. In order for Dallas to win the game they must lead in time-of possession. This can be accomplished by Dallas sticking to the run game and being efficient on third downs. Dallas must methodically march down the field. If Dallas can have 4 seven-minute drives for touchdowns they will dominate the TOP. This will also allow our defense to stay fresh.

Feed Zeke- Dallas must establish the run early by feeding Zeke. He needs at least 30 touches.

Play action pass - Since the addition of Cooper, establishing the run is even more critical. The running games causes opposing defenses to stack the box. The world saw how great Cooper can be off play-action passes.

Dak must not take sacks. Timing passes, and quick outlets will mitigate the sack problem the team has had. Dak can’t afford to lose any yardage against the Saints especially when the team approaches field goal range.

When the offense is around mid-field, this is 4 down territory. Dallas has to stay in manageable down and distance. A 3rd and 2 is the perfect scenario. 4th and 1 is a must. Dallas can’t afford to punt the ball back to Brees

Dak must take deep shots down field early. With that being said, the team can’t be foolish either. The Cowboys can’t be predictable.

Dallas must score points with virtually each possession. When the team plays with a lead, the defense benefits greatly.

Dak must protect the football.

Pressure Brees. When the Cowboys blitz, the CBs must play press-man.

Stay out of Zone as much as possible. I know teams go to zone to rest DBs, I get it. However, Brees is a zone killer. Dallas must be mindful of what Brees can do if Brees dictates coverage.

DeMarcus Lawrence and Gregory must have career games. Brees, just like all QBs, get rattled when sacked, Dallas must him early and often.

Jaylon and “Wolf Hunter” must account for the RBs. Jeff Heath will play a huge role in limiting Kamara.

The defense must create turnovers to win. Dallas must limit the scoring opportunities that Brees has.

Dallas victory 38-24
So basically if we play a perfect game in every facet we can win 38-24.

The saints beat the Rams 45-35. The rams who have the best defensive player in the league couldn't slow down Brees.

Nothing yet has been said about a TD kick return as well as interception return TD...

I don't know who would handle any sort of a kick return TD. I think it's one of this team's weakest areas. The kick returner takes the touchback (which he should), an Beasley is simply a guy that fair catches the ball.

Did you watch that saints/bucs game? Drew Brees almost brought them back to win that game with the final being 40-48. Dallas ain't scoring 48...

Did you watch that Saints/Browns game? If Cleveland had a kicker that day New Orleans wouldn't have escaped with a 21-18 victory.

lot of wishful thinking and ifs in that post....chances are half of it won't happen. if Saints score quickly a couple of times, Dallas doesn't have the ability to keep up and do quick scores. ineveitably we will have several 3 and outs in the game and saints can quickly cash in...

I agree. TOP is key. we have to limit the number of chances Saints get.

I'm not seeing any examples of that occurring. If anything, I'm seeing people's "fanhood" questioned because they don't see the Cowboys winning. Funny how that works?

I apologize, only your opinion matters. Funny how that works.

W / L are black and white.
Games played on the field are not always black and white.

That is a poor analogy.
The scrub teams such as Browns(who are playing better this year) and Bills are an L on someone's record. The Patriots are in the talk for home field advantage in the playoffs every season because they are almost guaranteed 5 to 6 wins before the season starts.

Cleveland did, and so did Baltimore. He had less than 250 yards and averaged 22.5 points in those games.

The Rams have given up 31+ in four games.

Either drew will beat you or the best rb duo in the nfl will or both..pick your poison

They didn't "attempt" to do that, they were forced to do that because, like everyone else, they couldn't stop the Saints defense. You don't attempt to get into a shootout, you're forced

Statistically, they've beaten a better defense in the Baltimore Ravens.

They attempt to do it because they didnt ball control or didnt trust their run game.

And the ravens secondary is questionable at best. You think carr can run with any of the saints wideouts?

What about Jimmy Smith coming back not 100% adjusting from injury?

Weddle and Jeffery at safety dont do much justice and Humphrey is probably their best cover guy which isnt saying much.

Anyone that knows football outside of their own team knew the ravens would get exposed in that game.

The problem with the ravens was they attempted to get into a shootout with the saints.

Their RB Alex Collins is a workhorse and they only gave him the ball 11 times in 4 qtrs while the backup had only 3.

There is no excuse for that in a game like that. They played into the saints hands, as I've said earlier you can not do.

The Rams offense is ten times better than the Cowboys, and their running game is every bit as strong. That's why Elliott and Gurley are running neck and neck for the league rushing title. They couldn't slow down the Saints and they have the league's defensive MVP.

Nobody "attempted to get into a shootout". That's simply a false narrative. When you're unable to stop the opposing offense, you try your best to keep up. Nobody ever "plans" for a shootout. You "plan" to score as many points as you can while limiting your opponent to the fewest possible. That's what you "attempt".
