Wow, the FO should be applauded for resisting keeping an inferior player for financial reasons. Eat the mistake and move on. Don't feel bad for Jasper, he basically got two million dollars just to go to camp with a team, now will probably sign with another team for a similar payday after week one.

This should be an upgrade over Weems. Fills a big need since this is looking like a redshirt season for Green.

Dunbar not getting waived. It has to be Weems.

Darrion Weems is the swing tackle.

I don't see anyone getting added at this late date being able to learn LT and RT in our scheme to the point they'd be active this Sunday night.

Jordan Mills only played RT in Chicago. He never played LT in college, but did start 5 games at LG as a true freshman before getting all his starts at RT afterwords.

Grading the Bears rookie offensive linemen: Week 14 vs The Dallas Cowboys (Dec 13, 2013)

Before I get into their grades, I wanted to give my general impressions of both Kyle Long and Jordan Mills from Monday Night against the Dallas Cowboys. The word that I kept coming back to was 'tenacity'. Both Mills and Long had good feet and a solid hand punch, but it was their tenacious stick-to-itiveness that really stood out to me...

wow,2 million down the drain on Brinkley,i would have kept him till Ro came back.

$1.25M for sure, that was the signing bonus.

The $750K that is guaranteed as part of his base salary isn't for sure.

If another team signs Jasper Brinkley, Dallas will only owe the difference between what they pay (vet minimum for him looks like $720K) and the $750K owed.

Good. Now we can all agree Jasper Brinkley sucks. That was a very odd signing for this defense.

at the time if was uncertain if we were going to retain McClain so it made some sense. the contract numbers were a bit generous though.

And if someone doesn't sign him, we've got s vet injury replacement guy just sitting there
