About 5 years ago, and I sore never to tell anyone about this, I was abducted by Aliens. I was taken to their ship. Received a full Alien-physical. Afterward the Alien doctor brought me the results. While we were small talking the Alien confided in me that he too believes Garrett sucks.
Smart alien!!!

I like how now that Rod’s gone we’re getting all these 3-techs.

Classic Cowboys.

Doesn't really make sense to be honest. Marinelli liked and wanted capable 3 Techs. He just didn't place as much value on 1 Techs. His scheme really didn't believe in locking down the middle.

It is what it is I guess.

this is not a good signing, panthers were terrible at run defense and Poe was part of the problem.

I'd be interested in hearing the reasoning behind why you think that? PFF (for whatever that is worth) had him ranked 3rd among DTs against the run before injury. The guy also had 4 sacks in 11 games, which isnt bad at all for a guy getting most his snaps as a 3-4 NT.

I just dont see the concern other than
1) he is coming off a season ending surgery
2) the Panthers as a team last year had a poor rush defense

I'm in Fat Boy heaven! I have missed seeing big beefy lumbering DT's around these parts. Also keep in mind guys that Ron Rivera was atroscious with the panthers last year and couldn't figure anything out. Also, they rotated too much and the guys complained about not being able to get into the flow of the game. I think they are trying to go younger and get some money off the books. These are the kind of fat talented DT's we need, and make no mistake about it, Big Mike McCarthy loves him some similar company.
