Quality veteran DT's at a bargain price to fill the gap until we can find young replacements. Great way to go.

I assume they are telling Hill to gain weight and he can learn from veterans like McCoy.

Correct, he will not count in the comp pick formula. But the Cowboys already have more comp picks than they actually receive. And even then, an extra 6th or 7th round pick next year shouldn't be a factor in a FA signing. Just get the best players.

McCoy having a positive impact on Hill may be one of the only things that can keep Hill from being a total bust. It would be great if McCoy could take Hill under his wing before Hill becomes a lost cause.

Ickes was wrong about them not being a 3-4. They switched last year but also played 4-3 which most teams do in nickel anyway.

This isn't true. Jeff Cavanaugh posted his snap counts from each position...over 50% were in 4 man fronts

I agree, it was a horrible draft pick considering that there was some safety prospects on the board that could have been an upgrade for the team.

I graded (RSF) Poe and McCoy as the top two run defenders in the league last year and the only other player remotely comparable was Maurice Canady.
