Cowboys complete 2009 schedule *Merge*

I'm not trying to look too much into this right now..We have no idea what will happen during pre-season(injuries) and how teams will actually play. Last year I thought the Seahawks ,Packers and Browns were going to be tough games..they ended up sucking hard. Not to mention the Cards being better than we all thought..

Actually we have 4 games vs. AFC opponents.

Just messing with you, I know you meant 2 home games. Every other year CBS gets to televise the Thanksgiving Day game, since we alternate with Detroit on playing an AFC opponent.

I think he means that CBS will not want to lose the chance to broadcast any Cowboys games, seeing as how they're consistently ratings winners.
Sorry guys. I'm sick today and what I posted didn't make sense.

Well I would at least like one December game against a non-contender. And closing @ Philly two years in a row is lame.

We close at HOME vs Philly. And right now, any of the teams we play in December might be "non contenders"...Nobody knows how the season will play out.

And it does matter, getting pounded in December wears you down in the playoffs. Look at Baltimore. Whether you're a good team or not.

Sorry, not buying it. And what do you mean look at Baltimore? They went alot further than they should have.

Man, some of these comments are ridiculous.

You guys are so quick to negatively judge things. "This is brutal, etc"

Just pack it in and don't even watch this "disastrous and brutal season".

There are so many things that go into a season. We have no idea who will be this years Falcons, or when a player might get injured.

What a joke...

I personally think the schedule is just right for a nice 11-5 run right into the playoffs.

True. In 2008, CBS just televised one Cowboys game. I sure CBS likes the years they get the Cowboys Thanksgiving Day game.

I agree, I dont know why people react like they do sometimes. The schedule is what it is. There were no surprises, all 16 opponents are the same today as they were yesterday.

The season will come down to a couple of key things. #1 is can the key guys (especially people like Romo) stay healthy for the entire season? #2 is will they take better care of the football themselves and force more turnovers on defense. If those thi9ngs play out, we will definitely have a good season.

No need to apologize, I knew what you meant and it made sense to me. CBS wants the Cowboys ratings.

How could you get mad at someone for assuming a schedule will be tough and that there are so many variables that go into a season - then make the ultimate assumption that we'll go 11-5 and even toss a nice little playoff run in there.

I'm optimistic this year. No more distractions and most of the talent that everyone thought was going to the Superbowl last year is still in tact.

If Romo truly was "worried" about getting TO the ball and can now sit back and utilize his many weapons..Roy, Witten, Crayton, Austin, Bennett, and Felix..I think he is going to have a great year.

Henry and Roy Williams were liabilities in coverage and they are gone. Ware gets better by the second. The defense will either play motivated for Wade or he will be gone.

Worst case scenario is we suck, Jerry gets a coach that will motivate people, we spend some money on free agents in potentailly an uncapped year, and we draft Taylor Mays or Eric Berry.

I like how all of the AFC opponents we face are from the same division lol

Four 1 pm games, terrible.

It's actually 5 but how in the hell are the Wash and Philly games at 1PM? Those are always 4PM'ers. Disgusting.

They will probably be FOX's primary games unless your local team is playing.

That's how it works. Every year a different AFC division which rotates.

Good gosh they want us to struggle in December.

Really starting to think the NFL wants to see us break our December issues on our own just to create media fodder and story lines.

The schedule from the DMN blog has asteriks by those games stating "*Game times and broadcasts subject to change."

Miami and Washington are the only teams besides us who regularly wear white at home.

True, but if you notice early on when temps and humidity are up during the first part of the season, teams like the Bucs, Browns, Eagles, and Panthers wear their whites.
