Has Jerry taken notice that Garrett is out the league? Can anyone tell me where all the coaches from Garrett's coaching tree are right now?
Who is in Garrett’s coaching tree?

Kellen Moore (OC for Dallas)
Matt Eberflus (HC Bears)
Marc Colombo (?) (giants o line)

Who else even counts? Garrett had a lot of recycled coaches around him from Rob Ryan to Rob Marinelli and Monty Kiffin.

Perhaps Garret is part of the larger Wade Phillips coaching tree

Is this a serious question?

I think that is the major problem with this entire organization and culture. Super Bowl or bust!

That wreaks of arrogance. The 90s are OVER.

Of course the ultimate goal is to win the Super Bowl...but you have to put in the work to get there. You can't teleport to the Super Bowl just because you won 13 games....or you have 13 Pro Bowlers. The playoffs represent the best teams, coaches and game plans. Having a coaching staff and building a team capable of winning 3 to 4 postseason games is hard.

There is a reason why beating Tom Brady was huge for us. There is a reason why winning our first road playoff game since 1992 was big for us. And getting past the divisional round would have marked a major step forward for this organization.

We have to come to grips with who we are and where we are. We are still 1 of 3 teams in the NFC over the last 25+ years...that have not played in a conference title game. So in addition to being a franchise worth 8+ billion...our dubious streak puts is in the same conversation with the Detroit Lions and Washington Commanders.
If you were to argue, making the playoffs meant something, I would agree. But once you are in the playoffs, it's SB or bust. I don't care if you win 3 games in the playoffs or none. It's about getting to the SB. Beating a 45yr old Tom Brady meant nothing. It didn't help you beat the 9ers. At the end of the day, you have a QB making $40+ million, and that is eating up too much of the cap to add more talent.

We can debate whataboutisms all day long - still doesn’t change the final outcome.

Could’ve, woulda, shoulda….. Dallas is out.

I’m not watching it because I can’t stand the Eagles.

We missed a golden opportunity this year. We should have strolled into the NFC Championship Game. We had two games won (Packers, Jaguars), and we let them slip away. And what makes it even worse is the Philadelphia Eagles look like they're going to capitalize on a weak NFC and roll to the Super Bowl.

I know a lot of Cowboys fans are disappointed today, but had the Cowboys won last week their chances of beating Philly would’ve been highly unlikely, especially without Pollard. Losing a conference title game is far more disappointing than losing an earlier round playoff game. I’ve experienced the Cowboys losing 6 conference title games including three in a row in 1980, 81 and 82. They lost 5 of those conference title games on the road.

Had we not blown the end of that Jaguars game and actually showed up in week 18 against the Commanders, we are hosting the NFC Championship game this afternoon

Why just the Jaguars and the Commodes?

Why not the Bucs? Why not Green Bay?

If the dog hadn't stopped to crap, he'd have caught the rabbit.

I always hated when my dad would say this, but he was right. You can't look at it that way, because the fact is, we didn't win those games. The only thing you can do is look to next year.

Dallas missed two years straight. The window closes next season. We don't do it then. Might as well start blowing it up. Coaches on down.

From about week 5 everyone was saying the 2 best teams in the NFC were the Eagles and the 49ers with Dallas as the 3rd best team. At the end of the day they are not in the championship game because when given a chance to beat one of the two teams everyone said was better than them they did not get the job done.

Only if they win the division round...

If they can lose to the Commodes and Jags, then no guarantee they win vs the Giants in the division round.
