That's what the guys on the ticket keep saying . That the cowboys are in love with this guy and would consider him @ 18 if he is there . This after one of them saw their chalk board had s 5 guys circeled (effiert, vaccaro, lacy, reid, carridine) Their other pet cat is apparently Tank Carridine .

It wouldn't be very popular here, but I think I would actually like this pick.

So someone from the Ticket was able to get inside VR and look at the draft board and now has reported what he saw on the radio?

I think Effiert, is the real deal, I would LOVE this pick, but not over Cooper.

Carradine allows them to dump Spencer and use the money somewhere else.

coming this late it sounds like typical misdirection just before the draft.
Credit to the organization though that no one really has a good feel on what their plan is.

That would be interesting. Wouldn't help the team at all, but it's interesting.

I gotta agree with those that say smokescreen, I don't see how this organization could seriously consider a 1st round TE.

Why is that is hard to believe?

If Cooper and Warmack are gone I would take Effiert in a heartbeat.

It most certainly would help this team. Our two TE set would become our base set (we've had the most success out of this formation), and Eifert can be split out wide with Austin in the slot. I wouldn't be necessarily be a fan of him at 18, but to say he wouldn't "help this team" is complete and utter nonsense.

Rite!!!! I'm not buying it and I doubt he would be the pick at 18.

Just can't see tight end in round 1. More of interest to me is who they might be trying to bait to trade down with for that team to move up and grab Eifert.

In the 1st round? with Witten still onboard? If one of the OL arent around why not take the S from Texas Kenny Vaccaro? We need a safety and a playmaker back there.

I don't think I would refer to Vaccaro as a "playmaker."

Lacy will more than likely still be there and I can see Jed pulling the trigger even though we have more pressing needs, that's my best guess...

Spencer signed the franchise tag. He is guaranteed the money.

Maybe he means, trade Spencer? Or be done with him, after the year?

What do Tyron Smith, Sean Lee, Bruce Carter, DeMarco Murray, Dez Bryant, Felix Jones, and Martellus Bennett all have in common? They were invited to visit the team before the draft. The best tip-off to who they're targeting is the 30 players they invite for pre-draft visits.

Effiert was not invited to visit with the staff.

The smoke screen here is stronger than at Denver's 420 rally.
