i think what it means, the cowboys are covering their options, they want to find out first who they can get in the draft, next they want to find out what the nfl commissioner goodell is going to do;

just covering their bases, in case they dont get a good wr in the draft

Who cares? If everything was solely about production he wouldn't have been available, TO wouldn't have been released, Tory Holt wouldn't have been on the market so long, ect.....

If everything was based on production, our last 4 big-name receivers would have never been available. But everything's not equal, that's why guys do become available. It's just about being willing or unwilling to take risks.

If he can't keep his nose clean, he'll be out multiple games. No thanks, no need to clean out the locker room and bring in a little trash to replace the trash that was set out on the curb.

If he can't keep his nose clean, his career - in Dallas or anywhere else - is over.

And, again, I don't blame anyone for saying no.

But, personally, looking at the risk-reward scenario and leaving feelings out of it, it makes sense to me, especially if the Cowboys miss out on a draftee or two that they coveted this weekend.

But barely a month ago you panned the idea due to "off the field" issues. And you made that statement after TO was released, so if Jones wasn't the answer to our depth problems then, why now?
