Cowboys could wait to sign Atogwe

No, it actually hasn't. People decided that arguing about the proper way to compare things using the english language versus anything substantive. Thats run its course not the topic of this duscussion.

Ever since Hos started doing this book he went from having pet peeves to a whole menagerie of them. Mistaking your for youre or failing to punctuate contractions, punctuation in general, capitalization, blah blah blah. He has become the grammar police.

The real heart of the matter is whether or not anyone was confused by canuck saying '4x' or whether they understood that he meant 'significantly' better.

Then you have people like pep piling on when all I can think of is 'who ****ing cares?'

To me the intelligent reaction to the easily interpreted hyperbole is 'is Atogwe significantly better than Hamlin,' or

'how is the prognosis of his shoulder injury and does he have a history of injury problens,' or

'can we really wait until June or will the Rams actually move on him before them,' or

pretty much a whole slew of substantive questions rather than this grammar discussion thats been going on for three pages.

Why do you always feel the need to try and prove you are smarter then everyone else? I agree with Theo, you are arrogant. Too arrogant to realize it.

I don't really have a problem with that, just the part where there is bunch of grown men establishing high-school like cliques on a message board. It's quite pathetic.

what are 'problens'? Some kind of Latin-based word I'm not familiar with?

Speak for yourself. I just like to ATTEMPT to stimulate discussion by proposing fair questions in response to some peoples' claims...usually those questions or presentations of facts are met with posts containing lots of use of the asterix, and then I sit back and just pick apart that poster's "argument" or lack thereof for the fun of it.

Usually they don't realize they're getting played. I get a good laugh out of it. If at any point anyone wants to legitimately talk football, I think you've seen enough from me around here to know that I'm all for it, even in disagreement so long as it's all kept professional and not taken to a degenerate level of cursing and name-calling.

But, dude, it's clear that this guy lost the argument, let it go. You made your point. Move on. Rubbing it in is just messing him up.

I look forward to the day when someone can agree with me without being accused of being my follower. You would think I am some kind of idiot the way people get all up in arms if anyone dares to agree with me. Newsflash, people agree with others (anyone, not just me) when they think they are right, and they disagree with others (anyone, not just me) when they think they are wrong. There's no clique, no club, nor any of the sophomoric taunts about homosexuality.

If that hurts your ***, so the hell what. Get some cream and rub it in or go soak in a tub.

:eek:hboy: that's the point :p:

I would love to say Atogwe with the star on his helmet and if we don't have to sacrifice draft picks for it to happen even better.

I hope we sign OJ just so I can say unfunny OJ Simpson jokes

lost what argument? They basically picked an argument because they thought it was a sin that I was exaggerating to prove my point. Obviously no one is 4X better then anyone else. I was simply saying Atogwe and Reed are significantly better then Hamlin, and these two decide to take it literally and thought it was a good idea to go all hypothetical and get personal and state that no one is 4X better then anyone else. I lost no argument where I'm concerned. That's real adult like though, I must admit.

I fully admit that I can be overly pedantic. I also don't need to prove anything. When I taught myself diff eq out of a textbook in 10 days I knew that I am smarter than most people.

You're problem is you feel threatened by the way that I talk/write. I have had a lifetime of people like you so whatever. Call me arrogant, call me a pedant, call me surely. I don't much care.

Oh and that wasn't me trying to prove anything. I honestly feel the way I expressed in that post. I have big problems with criticizing peoples diction and/or grammar when you know damn well what they were saying. Sorry if I write in a way that makes you feel insecure or threatened.
