It would be worth bringing him in for an interview to allow Garrett to see for himself what he thinks about this players attitude; although, if he was cut he has to pass through waivers and somebody will probably claim him.

Yeah, if someone likes him they would likely claim him.

2015 $722K
2016 $881K

It's always difficult to know about a player that just didn't get along with another coaching staff. It would be a free look if he got him on waivers.

He was better in coverage in college than is being reported. He was a better coverage Safety in college than Church.

Yes he was. I watched him during his college career here in Columbia and he was a beast. Worth a free look for sure.

I wouldn't want this guy on my team personally. While he is a talented safety, his behavior is ridiculous. Anyone see Hard Knocks with the falcons when they scrimmaged the texans?

No, what did he do?

He was talking a ridiculous amount of trash during scrimmage. Kept trying to start fights and was successful a few times. IMO he doesn't seem like he has a lot of self control. His play on the field was solid but I would be hesitant to bring a guy like that into the locker room with how good of a job we have done with our team culture.

Already stocked at strong safety. Need a free safety.

And this guy is a suspension waiting to happen. Dirty player.

Would love to have him. Plays with an attitude.

Yeah, so much attitude that a team without a proven backup behind him just released him. His play doesn't back up his talk. He's a hitter. That's it.

He refused to play special teams as a rookie because he was a 2nd round pick lol

Darren Woodson played special teams. Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor play special teams, but Swearinger can't? I want no part of that attitude.

His price is nothing right now. If he is a locker room cancer you can always cut him and no lose anything.

It's not the playing with attitude that's the problem. It's the attitude during the other 6 days and 21 hours a week that is the problem.

Who said anything about his price?

Outside of his atrocious attitude, he doesn't upgrade a position. He has no flex ability and he wont play special teams.
